We felt safe there. They had English speaking staff at the front desk and they arranged an English speaking taxi for us that arrived promptly at 6:00 a.m. The room was clean and had plenty of hot water. The building felt very safe.

There is big enough and clean room with nice moutain views balcony. Also there is shared kitchen can be used. Very warm and helpful host. It is located Santo Tomas de castile, easy to take a taxi ( 30 GTQ ) or chicken bus( 3GTQ) from puerto Barrios center. Recommend to take couple days to chill out. There is walkable to beach and waterfall. The accommodation fee all goes to charity.
