Situated in Kwa Kuchinia, Baobab Tented Camp features free WiFi, and guests can enjoy a garden, a shared lounge and a terrace. If you have read other reviews from properties in Tanzania indicating how friendly and genuine were the staff, that’s because it’s usually true. But this place was over the top. We were sorry to leave. It is located within Tarangire Park, which jacks up the price since you are paying entry fees for every day you are there, but we found it well worthwhile for the week we spent there. Very few people do that, and we spent some days NOT doing the usual safari, observing quietly the life that came by, as opposed to chasing after it in a car.

Maasai Eco Boma & Lodge - Experience Maasai Culture is situated in Makuyuni and offers barbecue facilities. This apartment features free private parking and full-day security. We have spent a night at Maasai Eco Boma, and honestly we regret not spending more nights here. All of the usual positive comments are here: beautiful boma and surroundings,well designed rooms with comfortable beds, tasty local food, and the friendliest staff that was always ready to help and share a couple of words and smiles. But the thing that we liked most about this property is a warm story behind it. This Eco Boma is a shared project of the local Maasai community living in one of the underdeveloped areas of Tanzania, that use this property as a mean of improving quality of life and to preserve the culture of the entire Maasai community. Everything here is local produced from the surrounding farms. Moreover the community invests the profits from this Boma into the community. They have already built a school, with the goal to achieve better education for local children. Currently they are transferring the funds in the water collection systems, to fight the worsening effects of the climate change as well in the construction of the local clinic. Will definitely come back, and recommend to others!

We love the camp setting, but it is very far from the gate, so anticipate miles of bumpy ride to the camp. The room is large. Once the curtain is put down, it is quiet and peaceful. Dinner and Breakfast are just OK quality. There is nothing to do in the evening except sleep. Overall, it is a fine camp in the wild.

Great breakfast as well. When we were the only guests to have lunch, the chef composed our menu with us - The view on the lake and the environment are amazing. We did a nice walk along the lake and saw some animals like impalas, monkeys, birds etc. We even saw a big group of wildebeests just passing down our plunge pool! - I have to finish with what impressed us the most, which was the staff, always nearby but discreet, ready to answer all needs of the guests, they always made sure we were comfortable. The staff was so friendly, professional and welcoming! I felt really valued as a customer! The food especially dinner was excellent. And lastly the views were just excellent!
