To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United KingdomIt was advertised with 2 bathrooms, which, as 2 couples was a draw for us. Unfortunately it only had 1 bathroom & an extra toilet on the deck

Easy access from the ferry terminal and very friendly staff who provided local information as they drove us to the apartment.

Property was great. Had everything we needed. The curlews hanging around the garden and bbq were very entertaining! We had a great time in the pool also.

AustraliaBed to hard. Stayed for 7 days, would have liked change of towels, especially since it rained and nothing dries. Somewhere sunny to sit outside, not just the pool area. Extra key would have been good - wasnt offered, then we didnt go back to reception regualarly to ask. More toilet paper for 7 days and 4 people than 3 rolls.
Excellent location at Arcardia - less than 5 minute to beach, close to bus stop. Kitchen was great for our purpose - breakfast, snacks and drinks. Ceiling fans (didn't need or use A-C), dishwasher. Second toilet was great. Free transfer on day of arrival Great shower pressure.

AustraliaThe walls were too thin and you could hear EVERYTHING that was going on in the apartment next door. The kids next door were up at 6am running around and kicking a ball inside the unit, and we couldn't sleep-in any morning. In fact, we had to bash on the walls a couple of times to get them to stop (which was only temporarily).
The location was great and easy walking distance to the ocean, restaurants etc
