Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

gorgeous, stylish room with a view and a convenient hideaway kitchenette. We had breakfast in our room every morning with coffee and a baguette we picked up around the corner

Stayed in a room with terrace. Absolutely wonderful experience with the staff and accommodations. Clean and comfortable. I would also recommend that if you visit Bijou, it is for light snacks and drinks (which are fantastic). It’s not really designed for a full meal.

United KingdomWonderful, comfortable, clean and well equipped hotel, ideally located in the heart of Quebec City. Extremely kind, helpful and accommodating staff. Beautifully designed hotel – the main entrance / foyer, is truly a work of art - a credit to Monsieur Jean himself, who apparently designed this inspiring living space. Thank you for a welcoming start to our time spent in Canada.

AustraliaThe noisey restaurants across the road
Very comfortable and clean. If you would like a very quiet room, don’t take a city facing room as the restaurants across the road from the hotel are noisey at night The rooms are well appointed and the staff are exceptionally obliging After a tour of the Chateau Frontenac, I would much prefer the intimate comfort of Monsieur Jean

Only a few mentions of this but there is a 1.50 wash and a 1.50 dry laundry machine in the basement. Also there was an unexpected microwave stove top dishes coffee maker kitchenette which was great. The bar downstairs is very nice. Step outside and you are in the midst of the tourist area. Close your window and it is soundproof. Very clean rooms. .

United States of AmericaOnly complaint was the gym. It could use some updating, the Nordic track elliptical was basically unusable as it shook. It was like working out on a boat on the open water. The treadmill didn’t work at all. I just went up and down the hills and steps in town to work out, so not a big deal, but the gym could definitely use a refresh. The refrigerator with water in the gym was a positive.
Location was great, right in the center of old town but not loud. Room was very good sized, had a good sized refrigerator and even a couple of burners (we didn’t cook anything, but good if you wanted to). Bed was comfortable, large windows (we had a corner room so a lot of windows). Internet was solid.

United States of AmericaThe bed is soft and comfortable but the comforter was too heavy for the warmer weather so we were hot all night.. We asked for a lighter weight comforter but it didn't happen. Also, the lighting in the room is too low and not enough recessed lighting to light the whole room. The bathroom is small for two pp to share with only one sink. The shower is open which i can't stand as water goes all over the bathroom floor. Also, the shower fixture was impossible to aim.
The location is perfect. The room is very large. The terrace was the best thing about the property. We were on the 7th floor and had a huge terrace with a fire pit. We used it quite a bit and the view was beautiful. The bar/restaurant is very nice with excellent cocktails.
