Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaOur room air conditioning was too warm, it showed it was locked? when we contacted the front desk, we were initially told it was controlled remotely and we couldn't change it, but they would have it fixed. We found out that was not the case and our concierge helped resolve it. We were also surprised when we were trying leave and catch an early morning train there was no one around to check us out. We waited and waited eventually someone came, advising they were short staffed. A hotel of this level should definitely have adequate staff to assist the guests.
This hotel is in an amazing location, just steps from the old city. The lobby is located on the seventh floor, with a stunning view. The check in process was good and the rooms were clean and comfortable, apart from a small issue with the air conditioning, which was resolved. There was a charming restaurant on the ground level adjoining the hotel where we had a very nice breakfast. What made this hotel special was the concierge Francine, she was a wealth of knowledge with great tips about places to see and go. She went above and beyond helping to resolve our air conditioning issue and had such a wonderful friendly disposition.

CanadaUsing two separate elevators to access the room was a modest nuisance but clearly cannot be changed. Since I prefer not to use valet parking, that there is no on-site self parking was also a minor nuisance. Fortunately a public parking garage is nearby.
The location was good for exploring Old Quebec City on foot. Daily tidying by chambermaid appreciated. Il Teatro restaurant was very good. Enjoyed numerous meals. Liked the 9th floor pool and adjoining terrace.

United KingdomNo negative points but just a watch out- we were lucky enough to have very sunny weather while we stayed here, which meant the room would get bright early in the mornings, easily solved by wearing eye shades.
The room and the communal areas were all modern and clean, and the hotel staff were lovely. The location was perfect for exploring Quebec City and also only 15 mins walk to the train station. Enjoyed a great view over the city from the room and could watch the sunset from the balcony area next to the pool.

United States of AmericaFortunately, there was a 24 hour parking garage right across the street. The valet parking is expensive, so consider the short walk to park your car.
The property is outstanding. Our room is a little small, but we don’t mind that. The bathrooms are immaculate and the shower is one of the best we have ever had at a hotel. The location is absolutely perfect for a trip to Quebec city. We also had cocktails at Clubby Bar and it was amazing. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else when we come back.
