Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ColombiaThe food was mainly basic and too expensive for the prices they were being charged for, we opted to visit other hostels down the beach looking for other options and found more varied menus with really good food at cheaper prices. If they want to keep charging the same that’s fine, but improve the food quality to match it.
The cabins and facilities are beautiful, it’s a great getaway spot to stay at if you plan on resting at the beach away from noisy tourists.

United StatesThe food options were a bit limited and because of how it is situated about a 15-minute walk to the main street and another 25 minutes to the next Pueblo, I felt a bit limited with the food options. Fruit was only available for breakfast and the lunch and dinner options were really heavy foods.
Beautiful location, quiet and tranquil, loved the hammock and lounger amenities offered on the beach. Nice bar and restaurant. The bed was comfortable with functional mosquito nets and towels, soap and shampoo provided making this a great place to stay for a few days with just a day pack. Extended my stay and would loved to come again.

GermanyThe rooms are not isolated, there is only one ventilator at the ceiling which makes it very hot. The double beds are very small. Be aware of the coconuts ;-)

Czech RepublicI would greatly appreciate some more veggie/vegan options in the restaurant since it is an Eco accommodation.
Very friendly staff and an awesome location (close to Tayrona, Ciudad perdida and much more)! Great place to chill and just turn off, relax, and get some nice rest. The bed was comfy and the mosquito net was a must, but expect to be bitten nonetheless :D

AustraliaStaff was extremely slow and unhelpful. Shampoo was not provided. We asked for a hair dryer to be borrowed (as we had a wedding to attend) but they had none. Breakfast was extremely slow. Our room has been cleaned only once in our 4 days stay. The cleaners came so early that we were still in bed, they never came after this to check and clean the room.
Love the location and the eco cabanas. Loved the outdoor showers.

United KingdomIf you’re uncomfortable being up close and personal with nature then this maybe isn’t for you! It was also extremely quiet while we were there - maybe because it was mid week
Incredible nature and wildlife, big room and loved the outside bathroom. Nice beds on the beach too.

CanadaThe property is on a beautiful beach, which unfortunately was too rough for swimming but we were happy just to watch the waves. There are shaded lounge chairs and hammocks on the beach. The cabins are spaced far apart from each other and have a terrace with hammock outside. The outdoor bathroom was a cool feature! It was fun showering while looking up at the swaying palm trees. The staff were all super friendly. It was a great place to completely relax after doing the Lost City hike. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a quiet place off the beaten path to relax.

United KingdomJuana, just a rude person. She walked away part way through our conversation. She was aggressive. I’m suggest she chooses another career that doesn’t involve dealing with people. Hospitality isn’t not the right one for someone who has no manners or social skills
Spacious beach hut. Good fan & mosquito net. Loved the outdoor bathroom. Very peaceful, lovely beach with comfy sunbeds with shade. Food was good enough. Avelado was very polite & worked hard. Elianis was very helpful when I had issues with my bank cards & phone, thanks again.

FranceI wouldn't say these are negative points but more like things to take into consideration before coming: there can be insects in the bedroom since most of the cabins are not completely closed. Wi-Fi works in the common area only and some cabins didn't have signal. There is no swimming pool so if the sea is on a red-flag, you won't be able to swim. Last, our mosquito net in the bedroom had a hole on top of it.
The hotel staff was welcoming and available - the kitchen even made us a meal that was not on the menu because we were sick. The common area and rooms were clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The hotel has access to the beach, even though the sea current was dangerous during our stay. Breakfast was good and the menu offered a wide range of possibilities for both lunch and dinner. Tayrona park is only a ten-minute drive away and you can walk by the sea-side to either Buritaca or Valencia waterfalls.

AustriaThe requested information about getting there and leaving by public transport (bus from/to Riohacha) was simply not correct: From the main road it does definitely take more than 8 minutes walking with your luggage from the main road to Playa Bonita and it is not as easy to catch a bus at the main road, you have to go to Buritaca. The last night of our stay there was no way of sleeping because of a wedding with very loud music, that we were not informed about before.
We liked especially the place and the food, that included very good and varying vegetarian options.

PolandVery dangerous huge coconuts hanging on palm trees which are absolutely everywhere. They can fall and kill on your way to lunch or beach. Hotel should cut them off instead of putting plates 'beware of coco' The See is so rough that its not possible to swim in this place
