Nobody can enter or leave the building without a fingerprint approval because the entrance is controlled by a finger print system which is 👍 great. The kitchen is well equipped. Nice entertainment and chill area on top of the roof, with barbeque facilities and lots of plugs for your laptop. Not to forget about the view. The staff is well trained and wonderful.This well managed establishment is a home from home. I regard the location a save area which is a big plus and a rare situation in comparison with the situation at other Hostels and Hotels in the inner city .

Let’s be honest, you can’t beat the location! It’s few steps from the beach, near everything, one building from Copacabana Palace Hotel. The best area ever! The property is good, the people that work there are so lovely and friendly, they even upgraded my room where I had a corner view from the beach and the Christ and gave a welcome happy birthday desert It for my sister at the room, delicious, it was like a dream! It’s simple but has every, is clean and the pool area is small with amazing view from the beach and Christ of Redeemer! Showstopper! So, is worth it!

The hosts, Arthur and Barbara were friendly and helpful from beginning to end. For example, Arthur on learning that our toddler is an early riser, offered to get breakfast ready super early. We appreciated the unexpected kindness.

The location was very good, and the staff were excellent.

All appliances and furniture were very old. The wall AC did not work properly, it was more like a fan. We had to bring our own fan to help cool the place. The small refrigerator was old and the shelves were broken, put together with a tape; the freezer portion was filled with condensation, therefore there was no useful space. The hair dryer had a 20 amp plug, partially burned, and there was no wall outlet to plug it in, therefore we could not use it as well. As for the gas stove, there was no lighter nor matches to light it - we had to buy our own lighter to use the stove. We were three people, and the third person’s pillow was not provided, for the sofa-bed.

The mattress and bed are a bit old, so kind of too soft. The bedroom is a bit noisy due to the air conditioning machine that lives outside.

Facilities are old and with poor maintenance. Kids area is a bit dirty. Also the transfer from GRU was seconded and a bit messy.
