Hot water was sometimes an issue in our shower.

The area is a little but run down but that isn't the fault of the hotel. It isn't the best lit street but we managed to get back fine. The whole check in process after 12 is a bit odd and reminds me more of an airbnb than a hotel but it works fine.

The location is not bad and only about 10 minutes walk from the Nova Karolina shopping centre. I think there might even be a bus connection nearby but I didn't use it. Room was large and spacious and the bathroom was clean and comfortable. The hotel provided the invoice that I requested without any problems.

Bad water pressure, old shower sprinkler, cleaning could be more thorough, there was someone's hair in the bathroom. Also, cleaning ignored "do not disturb" sign.

It's a fair place to spend a day or two. Furniture is cool!

There was no minibar fridge (each floor had a fridge in the hallway with various items for sale - reasonable prices). Room had no fan or a/c, which was not good during the heatwave. Breakfast was OK, perhaps a bit sparse, with a Nescafe-like coffee machine (some filter coffee would be much easier and much better).

Located in a quieter area outside the city center, was quite easy to find (google maps). Reception is manned during the morning only (not sure what happens if you have a problem…) so check-in was via a lock-box (not a problem). There is parking outside the hotel in a sort of courtyard/driveway. The hotel seems to be an old apartment building reparceled up into rooms: my room was quite large, with old, wooden furniture –sort of charming. Lighting was OK (could be brighter), wifi signal was fast but weak, cutting out from time to time. Had a medium-sized LCD with no English channels. Bathroom fine. Good VFM.

There was no kattle or fridge in room. Desk was very small to work on. On the first look everything look clean but the under the toilet flap and seat there were stains, etc. Shower was below my expextation(problem with regulating water heat and no regulation of angle) No nutella on breakfast.

Personell was very nice and helpful. It was ok. I liked the decor and overall " classic" style.

The surrounding neighbourhood doesn't feel all that welcoming and the hotel feels a bit out of place because of that.

The breakfast was the typical "Continental" type where you serve yourself from a table full of options. The Knossos restaurant on the main floor of the building is very convenient if you've come back to the hotel after a long day and don't want to go far for a meal. The Greek food is great there. The hotel is also a short walk from the main bus station in Ostrava, so it's handy if you're travelling to Ostrava by bus. If you arrive to Ostrava by train, there are three tram lines that run from the main train station to within walking distance of the hotel.

The price is too high for the position: it's close to the center but still far from public transportation; moreover, I had to pay the breakfast and it was not worthy the price (200 CZK) for the choice that was available.

It's close to the center, the room was large and clean; I arrived out of reception time and I got proper instructions on how to get the key in advance.
