Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Super smart hotel with brilliant facilities! Easy walk from the station and we were able to wander into the city centre in 30 mins. Room was great (if a little hot - we only found that we could open the windows about 3 mins before leaving!). Sadly we weren't staying long enough to check out the gym and roof terrace but would love to come back!

IcelandThe only thing I didn't like was all the e-mails! I stayed there for only 1 night but I received 17 e-mails. 17! Most of them (I stopped reading them) was about my time of arrival, I think. When I booked I had the option to state the time of my arrival (between 13 and 14). After that I received all these e-mails about "my enquiry" and that the room would be ready at 15:00 but I could check if it would be ready earlier. It wasn't an enquiry, I just checked a box, and I don't mind. Please send me just one e-mail about this. I was travelling to Germany for four days and stayed at three different hotels. Imagine to receive 17 e-mails from each of them.
Everything at the hotel was super nice :)

Czech RepublicStaff did a mistake in the invoice, took a while to notice. Currently resolved, but this is additional thing on which I had to spend time on communication. And in the end there was no appology or nothing, just blunt reply with transfer back of the money.
Location is very good, train station up to 15 minutes by foot. There is very nice terrace on the roof of the hotel which is open to use and chill. Everything is clean and new.

Loved the room and the bed was super comfy! Nice staff, cool vibe and super clean communal areas. The location was great as it was so near to the central station and it has THE best kebab van 100 meters away - there are long queues for a reason! Next to a supermarket too which is always handy.

PolandLong waiting time for the elevators, which can sometimes take minutes. Obviously, 2 elevators are not enough for so many people in a 5 floor building. For some reason, the place seems understaffed and sometimes there is no one at the reception desk because employees are busy with serving breakfast or working in a bar.
Very clean, comfortable and stylish place near the main train station. There’s a bar on the first floor and a rooftop on the top floor. Good internet connection. Of you opt in for breakfast, you can taste extremely delicious croissants. There’s free water and coffee, which is also a big plus.

Considering that breakfast was not included, I think we overpaid for the stay.
Super location, very comfortable to reach by bus, metro and central station. Very clean and super nice decor. The room was also very well designed. Overall we had a lovely stay.

SpainThe only negative side for us was how soft the pillows are. I guess that's just a personal preference, but you literally sink in.
The hotel is perfectly located within walking distance from Berlin Hauptbahnhof, which makes it very convenient to get to downtown by public transport. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. You also have restaurants, supermarkets and bars around the area, in case you do not feel like going to the centre after a long day of walking or doing touristy things.

Staff was exceptionally nice and helpful. Room was much more spacious than expected and cleaned very well. The noise from the street can be annoying, but with closed windows one can't hear anything. Cool hall and and outside area.
