Everything was good :)

The location was excellent, a short walk from the train station. Staff went above and beyond in terms of customer service. I did not have the breakfast so cannot comment on that but others said it was very good. Based on my two nights there, I would definitely stay at this hotel again on future trips to Hamburg.

Rooms don't have AC. Not a problem during early summer, but during hot summer months could be problematic.

i had ordered two Superior rooms close together. My room was excellent but my friends, a married middleaged couple got a very small and dark room. The next day they tried in vain to get a better room but the staff was not at all helpful.

Rooms are not soundproofed. If anyone takes a shower or uses the toilet in the room next to yours, you’ll hear absolutely everything.

I like small balcony and clean room. We were 4 persons in one room and it was enough room. Stuff was also very helpful, by ordering taxi and fast chek-in.

Some things to improve, the towels were not of a luxury quality but were good. I prefer to have a bit more towels in the room, and the staff provided them right away when asked. The worst thing were the pillows. They were very soft, not firm at all, and for me not enough. Also, there is no air con. I was there on a particularly hot couple days. But, the staff again were able to provide me with a fan! Keeping the windows open at night was too loud when my room was on the city view side.

Hotel location is great! Very walkable to shops, restaurants, cafes, parks, and public transportation. The hotel is not modernized completely so still has old European charm. Hotel staff was very nice and responsive. It was nice to receive a free ticket for 3-day use of public transport. Also, I came early for the check-in, hotel was able to hold my bags while I walked around the neighborhood to wait for the proper check-in time. The hotel was very clean. Bed was comfortable. The room was a good size for one person, two people it was a bit tighter. Bathroom was good, also small, but the water pressure was nice. The room also provided a fridge and kettle with tea. Wi-Fi was good.

Toiletries were low quality. There was no separate shampoo and body wash! I was expecting better quality and options from 4 stars hotel! The room was near by the room with cleaning supplies. I woke up every day very early because of the noises. I am not sure how convenient to rent this room!

A great location, very close to the lake, less than a 10-minute walk to the centre, S-bahn right next to the hotel. Clean rooms, friendly staff, we could leave our luggage after check-out. Complimentary tea, coffee and sparkling water in the room. I recommend the place!

I decided not to have breakfast either day as at just before 9am , the breakfast room was extremely busy with no free places at all and I didn’t want to spend time queueing .

Very comfortable, well - run and traditional in style . Excellent position in the centre of Hamburg and extremely near the U /S Bahn link to the airport .

The hotel is situated only 10 minuts walk from The central train station and very close to the city center. Just round the corner is The Hamburger Oper, where we were to see 2 operas, perfect. The room was very nice and clean, and breakfast abundant. Being so close to everything the price for our stay was absolutely value for money

We enjoyed the atmosphere of the hotel with a long history, the staff was well-trained, the room surprised us being equipped with a few magazines and a book on hotel's history in addition to standard kit. Besides, I was very pleased with their engagement in animal conservation programs as well as non-aggressive marketing
