Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyThe lifts are very slow and it takes time to reach the ground-floor to go to the toilet or take a shower. The location is awful. Good in terms of distance from the train station but it is very scary to go on that street as there are too many drug addicts. Also, the price is quite high for a hostel.
The concept is funny. The availability of a speaker for music. The shower is very convenient.

GermanyThe building is very close to the main station (which is great!) but it's located in a very trashy and dirty street, where I wouldn't enjoy being after sunset. Anyway, this isn't the hotel's fault.
Comfortable functional cabins built with nice materials, spacious common areas and a nice modern vibe in general.

United StatesThe hotel is in a sketchy part of town. Didn't feel that safe any part of the day. Find a door-to-door cab service to get there.

MongoliaThe location. It was good that it's so close to the central train station and central bus station so that you can just walk there but on the other hand because it was close to the central stations there where quite a few suspicious looking people in the area which seemed a bit scary to me at first. But maybe because i'm in a foreign country so it might be a bit unfamiliar to me. Also usually in most of the cities around the world the central station areas are bit crowded and you know how it is. Hotel itself is located little on the quieter side with less people.
Everything. Clean, contemporary and comfortable. Ergonomically smart solutions for all your needs so that the room doesn't even feel that small. Loved the food at the shared lobby bar. Friendly staff 😊

United KingdomNo ventilation in the room! It was an incredibly uncomfortable warm temperature with no option for cool air- except to keep your door open. Only a duvet was provided, no sheet to cover yourself- which only added to the uncomfortable warm temperature.
The facilities were great, everything was very clean including the shared bathrooms. Very central location close to the main train station and not far from the airport either.

United KingdomThe area around the hotel isn't great, in the short walk from the station I was approached by multiple people (though this is not the hotel's fault, they are hopefully a catalyst for change in this neighbourhood!)
Innovative and very pleasant hotel, would highly recommend. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. The room was pretty soundproof which was nice too.

Romania1. The showers were not refilled with shower gel / shampoo not even once in 5 nights that I was there. 2. The road from 0 level to the shower level (-1) it's quite strange, as you need to somehow pass the lobby and also in front of a big window from outside (doing this only in a bathrobe can be quite strange). 3. Unfortunately, this place doesn't have the hostel vibe, as at the Lounge upstairs (3rd floor) usually it is empty as nobody comes there, and also people coming there are not that happy to discuss or anything.
The single room has everything you need for a sleep only accommodation. If you plan to visit all day long, and only rest in your room, it's perfect. 1. Enough outlets for charge (+USB outlets) 2. Bluetooth speakers in the room 3. Very nice dimmable lights in the room, so you do not break your eyes when you wake up (and from completely darkness, you can pass to very nice light easily). 4. Rooms are big enough for a "capsule" style accommodation. 5. Clever hangers ideas in the room. 6. In the lounge upstairs you can pay with the room bracelet, and at the checkout you pay all what you consumed (even if you want to check out online, you can pay also online). 7. The showers and bathrooms are clean. 8. The restaurant it's open for a very long time in the night, but it's quiet and this doesn't trouble the guests. 9. The area (debatable here, even if it's in a questionable area as it is near the train station, but still, you have plenty of stores on the road to the Hostel like Lidl, Donani, and a lot of ethnical stores, a lot of ethnical restaurants, and also in 15 minutes walk you are in the Rathaus square)

PolandThe room was too small and there is no enough space to stored the luggage inside the room. But over all the facilities was really good and the neighborhood was bit creepy because of a lot of homeless and drunk people outside.
It’s really clean ,cozy and the staff was friendly and very helpful they are absolutely wonderful about dealing with the guest.

NetherlandsStoring your luggage costs extra (5 euros)
Nice personnel that could help me with all my requests. I really liked the cabin itself. Even though it doesnt have much space and you need to wiggle a bit to enter the cabin if you have a lot of luggage, the cabin is well equipped and the bed is comfortable. I didnt hear any noise at night, so I think they are also well isolated. The shared shower/sinks/toilets tend to get quite full, but I didnt have problems finding free ones.

GermanyIn the cabin no space for the luggage. At least the room we were in. What gets irritating as well is if you want to put the jacket on you have to get out of the room because inside is too tight. And the ventilation is a bit of an issue, one morning we had onion smelling in the room from the kitchen probably.
Really interesting concept. It reminds on a hostel environment but better than that. Common room at the rooftop and restaurant are two options if you want to chill. Rooftop really nice arranged. Bathrooms clean and provide enough private space. If you are interested in cabin concept, definitely give it a try.

Netherlandsa bit pricey for what it is, but reasonable when compared to other options in hamburg.
it was my first time ever staying in a cabin hotel and it was fine. the room/cabins are as seen in the pictures: well designed, but compact and tight. I can't imagine staying there for more than 2 nights. it's perfect for travellers that pack light. the communal bathroom was clean and nicely sectioned. it had plenty of shower rooms and sinks that were modern and easy to use, much like the locker room in a gym. the staff was helpful and warm, and the check in process very smooth.
