Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SpainOverall the hostal is good, however, having stayed in many hostals around Europe the hype and price arent matched by the facilities. - Kitchen is alsmot not existent, no sink, no cutting area or utensils, this isnt ideal for long term travel - Male showers are tiny, female showers are almost double in size, not very accomodating. - Lockers make a lot of noise, they have a digital confirmation and are noisy when in the room. "Different" type of stay, but I would prefer a classic hostal that has better kitchen and showers

BelgiumThere is no socket to plug in your charger. They do have a plug for USB (I think type B). So it didn’t work with my phone that has USB type C. Be prepared!
I like the location, and the cleanliness, and also the friendliness of the staffs.

SpainThe capsule for people with disabilities doesn’t really close for safety reasons but at the same time it’s easy to open if someone wants to get in.
Clean and central, amazing if you’re staying for a night or two in Madrid. Love the double bed capsules!

IrelandA bit robotic and cold, given the decor understandable, but not convivial, warm or inviting. Not conducive to connecting travelers or conversation. Needs a little lightening up.

GreeceStaying at this hostel was a nice experience, it's theme is interesting and the light colours are awesome. The staff were very friendly and always helpful, full of energy and always welcoming me with a smile and they tried to help with any information I asked them about the city. The hostel was always clean and tidy, smelling nice and the location is ideal as it is close to the centre and also to a metro station. I'm not a Star Wars or aliens movies fan, but I enjoyed chatting with Yoda.

TurkeyTo hotel: 15:00 is a late check-in start time. And air system should be strengthen up. To noisy neigbours: have some respect. Chat and laugh outside. To Light sleepers: I think you better look for other options. I needed to go toilet at night, opened capsule's door and my downside neigbour also opened door and flamed "I cant sleep!" What do you expect me to do boy, do it on a bottle? This one and other capsule hotels are very good and low-cost solutions for travelers. But you need to have respect, also know to ignore or tolerate some basic sounds like door, locker, capsule door open-close sounds.
Good staff, clean capsule, strong wifi

Costa RicaThe ventilation system and AC inside the capsule are poor. This was not a problem for me because I visited Madrid in spring and the temperatures were around 20C. However, during summer this could be an important issue.
It's exactly like the photos. Futuristic design with a lot of privacy, very clean, great illumination in the room, bathroom and inside the capsules, enough space to sleep comfortably and charge your devices. With the same key card to open the capsule you have access to a locker large enough to store a 50L backpack or suitcase. Besides, inside the capsules there are safe boxes and dimmers to regulate the amount and color of the lights.

Spain- zero noise proofing. It’s still better than a regular hostel because you still get some personal space - the beds are squeaky as well - your pod only has usb a chargers. Not a regular plug or usb c -
The staff were amazing, the hostel was clean and overall a nice concept. Naturally, superb location.

ItalyThe only inconvenience I found was the USB charging system in the capsules: there are just the classic old-style Type-A ports, while there are no Type-C, and for a normal plug in, you have to put outside the capsules.
I really like the staff, their kindness and availability, the cleanliness of the entire environment from the bathroom to the rooms, the structure itself and, moreover, the location.
