Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsNothing, even my dog loved it :)
Everything! The walk and morning run (just follow the green white signs starting in the village), the room with great bed and beautiful dhower, the jacuzzi with exceptional view, the tranquillity and the basic but good food at the gastrobar on the village square.

United StatesPerhaps the detail was available in the initial posting for the property, but I was under the impression that the jacuzzies were available inside the "deluxe "rooms. As it turned out, it was a large communal jacuzzi. That was not the problem. The problem was that we did not bring swimming suits!
Pilar was an excellent hostess. Very kind, informative, and quick in providing room service. Marc was a WhatsApp "concierge," who was timely and accurate in all matters concerning check-in, restaurant services and local attractions. The food, hospitality, and service at the Gastro Bar were exceptional. Patricia was a joy as the hostess.

United KingdomThe only slight criticism was the lack of bathroom fittings - for instance, no toilet roll holder and no shelf in the shower to place sponge or shower gel on, but these were a minor irritation.
Fantastic room with quality mattress and bedding. Spacious room and bathroom. Plenty of hot water for showering etc. Great view across the plain from the bed, with a good size terrace facing the same direction. There is just one bar restaurant situated in the central square in the village. It is owned by the hotel owners and it is in here that you need to check-in and collect the key code for the hotel doors. Just as an observation, as this in a remote rural village, be prepared for the fact that many locals do not speak a word of any language except Spanish, which does make for some very interesting conversations and a lot of miming! Thank goodness for translation apps on our smartphones! NOTE; DO NOT FOLLOW SAT-NAV TO THE HOTEL. LAST ROAD TOO NARROW FOR CARS. When in the village, make your way to the square with the church. Park here - the bar restaurant in in the square and the hotel is circa 75 metres away.

Loved the originality. Colourful exotic figures of sphinxes, animals etc and a beautiful gigantic map of the world taking up a large wall in the dining room. Exceptionally pleasant staff. An oasis in the middle of nowhere! Comfy bed too.

SpainThe village is very quiet. Evening meal in the bar was simple. Don’t expect anything fancy. ( However it is the only place to eat). Don’t follow your sat nav to the door of the hotel as the road is very narrow. Go first to the bar in the square , it’s very close.
Beautiful restored building in the centre of the little village. Our room was spacious , spotlessly clean, modern and tastefully decorated, with a view out over the countryside. Breakfast was in the bar in the nearby square. There is a hot tub and sauna available by arrangement. All in all a delightful place to stay.

United KingdomThe restaurant is a short walk into the village. Not a problem but since our last visit the policy on dogs has changed they are no longer admitted. Too cold to leave her in the car so no supper.
A favourite hotel of ours, we make a long detour to stay there. Room and staff are excellent.

AustraliaMalanquilla is a beautiful small village & well worth visiting. There are short well-signed walking tracks which lead to the points of interest & 360 degree views to enjoy. Hotel Boutique Malanquilla Inedita is just wonderful, excellent in every aspect. The staff are super friendly and accommodating, we'll be back for sure!

United StatesThis hotel is a remarkable place, unlike anywhere else we’ve stayed that we can remember. Malanquilla is a small, remote village that feels like the end of the world, in a very good way. Right outside our window is a stunning view of the vast, open country, accented by a well-preserved traditional Aragonese windmill. Before breakfast we enjoyed the sight of a massive sheep drive cross the ridge below the windmill. It feels like we’ve stepped back a century, but provided with all the modern conveniences for a comfortable stay. Highly recommended.

United KingdomThese are not complaints just top tips for your arrival. Park in Plaza Mayor you are there. The guy at the bar will sort you out. Do not try and drive to the hotel itself. Your bike or car will be as safe as houses.
What a gem in the middle of rural Spain. We had the most amazing welcome and were treated to a sauna and hot tub. We are already planning a return. Bikers this is in the middle of some great roads. The parking is in the main square and the guy at the bar handled booking in and breakfast. He is the go to place at night for dinner and drinks. Great prices! The hostess was a lady called Pili who really made sure we settled in well and knew the routine. She was great. Best that you know a little bit of Spanish or have a phrase book. Pili was a wizard on google translate. We had a view of a Don Quixote windmill. And the backdrop is amazing you are in the middle of nowhere. The room and bathroom was one of the best we have ever stayed in. Quirky doesn’t do it justice.

We stayed in room 8, the best room in the hotel - with a large terrace and fantastic views. Extremely comfortable bed and plenty of room. The meal in the gastrobar was excellent- in terms of quality and value for money. Monday the bar is closed so breakfast was help yourself at the hotel which we really enjoyed. Excellent Wi-Fi and loved the jacuzzi time!

This a beautiful hotel. It has been designed and decorated cleverly with a quirky humour. We were greeted, and everything explained to us, by a lovely lady. She later made us delicious hamburgers in their bar a short distance away. The bed was comfortable, the shower was good, and everything was clean. The spa room and nice coffee were bonuses. Definitely recommended.
