How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Not really soundproof, we had the room with full view to the street so early morning we heard everything, the trucks that came for the supermarket, and the overall ouside noise.
Very good location, less then 1 minute to the bus stop, away from the large crowds, the staff was really nice and helpfull. At the ground floor there was a supermarket which was really great. Breakfast was ok, the same each morning but we liked it.

I highly recommend this one! Perfect location (near railway station, metro station, main road), not too noisy. Really helpful and nice staff. Comfortable bed. Yummy breakfast, with fresh fruits and a lot of teas to pick from.

Little noisy outside at night but totally to be expected on such a busy road.
Lovely friendly staff who were extremely helpful. Everything was clean and plenty of choice for breakfast.

Noise from the bathroom when using water from the toilet, bath and sink. We got used to it after the first night.
Clean room and nice relaxing area. The personel was very serviceminded. Can recommend. Good value for money. Better breakfast than First expected.

Check in at the hotel was from 1 p.m., but we arrived around 11 a.m., but Anna prepared the room for us earlier, hats off the breakfast was excellent, good selection and constantly replenished I also rate the hotel's equipment as excellent, the building is a bit older, but the interior of the hotel was at an appropriate level the location is good, close to the subway, but it was not a problem to walk Anna, thank you once again for your approach to us and hospitality, I really appreciate it, we felt great!

The breakfast wasn't the best. It was fulfilling, but we hoped for some sausages etc, but it was only cold cuts.
The staff was amazing. We were really happy with how supportful they were with us from the first second. The location was also amazing, it only took some minutes to get into the middle of the centre.

Is a bit far from the city centre but there's bus stop right I'm front of the accommodation and metro 10mim walk.
Very clean and staff extremely nice. We were able to leave out bags at no extra cost until the time of the check in. The rooms size is good.

Breakfast was a bit basic, but a well received perk otherwise. Also there was some kind of pump that was heard every few seconds - not a huge deal but a bit annoying. The buses/metros weren't super convenient, but there was a bus stop right in front of the hostal.
The hostal was great, with comfortable rooms and beds and very friendly staff at the reception! Very clean as well, perfect for a quick getaway! Fairly quiet location as well, but a bit far from the center.

There was no vegan options for breakfast beside the plant based milk. I have milk and egg sensitivity, I let them know in advance and they told me they can’t provide it for me so it was fair. But I don’t understand why, because they had 4-5 gluten-free options (so at least my partner could eat). Anyway everything else was good, I just wanted to let it know for those who have the same issues like me.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. We could leave our luggage before and after checkout, it was a big help for us. Nice gluten-free breakfast options.

Everything was just right. Nice place, great host, very good breakfast, good location, close to stores, restaurants, bus stations. Barcelona is a wonderfull city and staying at Hostal Aslyp made our vacation even better.
