Breakfast was good. Lots of choice and lovely dining room. Good location with easy access to elevators to old city. Restaurant wasn't open during our stay but recommended restaurant in city was excellent. We parked on the road nearby but there is a parking garage by the property. Lovely small pool.

I had chosen this hotel for its restaurant and location. I really needed a rest after a long journey and had planned to hole up. I was extremely disappointed to find the restaurant closed without notice, apparently due to a private function. Although you could get up to the city using the ‘mechanical escalators’, these only take you to the rather desolate back end of the place. Getting anywhere with refreshments (that was not closed or shut down) meant exhausting tromping up and down steep inclines in blazing heat. Not recommended for the tired or infirm! Back at the hotel, there was not even a bar so it was an unexpectedly bleak stay. On top of that, the pool - though pretty and photogenic - was minute and should not be described as a ‘swimming pool’.at all. It also needed a good clean, being constantly chock full of guests - plus it was very cold despite the blazing sun. A lot of the garden area and common parts were surprisingly run down and needing maintenance. The wonderful breakfast experience served to provide a tantalising glimpse of what might have been…

It was historic and had a lot of potential. The breakfast was superb and in a lovely environment. The reception staff were beyond helpful - their friendliness made my stay

My room was a little dark, I guess because it looked out onto an interior courtyard. Looking back I would have booked a room with an exterior window. Room wasn't the cutest, but the rest of the property (restaurant, courtyard, pool) is amazing.

The property of this hotel is gorgeous. The restaurant was amazing...I ate out on the courtyard as the sun set. Breakfast was lovely. Pool was lovely. Staff was super friendly and helpful.

OK hotel, but could have been better for what was promised in the description.

The lady who was at reception upon our arrival was quite unfriendly (the lady next morning was much friendlier!), not just to us, but also to other guests at the door while we were standing there. She was unable to give us basic directions when we phoned and did not seem to be aware of the roadblocks all around the hotel. Also her English was not as such that she could understand basic questions, it seemed. Furthermore, one of the reasons for us to book the hotel was that we got the impression that we could have dinner in the courtyard. Strangely enough the restaurant turned out to be closed from Monday through Wednesday, which was quite disappointing. It was quite hard to find a proper place to eat the first night. Breakfast did not have any warm options until the day we left and then the scrambled edges were sweetener (!).

The history of the hotel and the wonderful interior made us feel we stepped into the wonderful ancient history of Toledo. The rooms were wonderfully large and one of them offered a great view over the towers of Toledo. Breakfast offered lots of choice. Toledo’s attractions were nearby. The pool was OK, although small.

Getting our cases up to reception was difficult: they need to be lifted over the threshold and rolled quite some distance over uneven surfaces. Had we known we would not have booked this hotel as we are of an age to need things to be easier to manage.

Beautiful building, a very characterful hacienda with a gorgeous garden which had plenty of seating areas. Good situation for swimming pool. Very helpful staff at reception and good English spoken in dining room. Good breakfast. Good to have designated spaces outside hotel to park and drop luggage before going to nearby public parking.

The location waa excellent and the setting was beautiful. This hotel has an historic feel and charm which is a perfect combination when exploring Toledo. Staff were mostly really friendly. Angelica on reception was exceptionally helpful and delightful. We ate in the restaurant and it was lovely. We would highly recommend it. We keep going back, so it must be good.

The room was nicely decorated but old (nothing wrong with this). The location was excellent exactly on the town's wall. The breakfast was poor but it is understandable since myself and my colleague were among the few visitors (February).

It needs maintenance - the entry to the hotel is confusing and somewhat off putting. The room (especially the bathroom) needed a repaint.

The swimming pool is tiny, too small to swim in although it was a nice place to cool off in with the air temperature at 39 degrees. One odd feature is that to get fresh orange juice at breakfast one must cut in half the oranges and then use a squeezer that you might have at home. With so many guests, this was a slow and messy procedure.

We found this to be a charming and unusual hotel with some attractive Mudejar features. It has a pretty Moorish style garden/patio with a tavern which serves good food. The staff are helpful and friendly. The rooms are comfortable and the bathroom has an excellent shower. We chose it for its location and found we could dispense with our car as we could walk everywhere in the city.
