The walls are quite thin due to it being an old building but I didn’t really have any noise issues.

The terrace/balcony area joined to my room was gorgeous and a great space to read a book. My room was really big, lovely high ceilings and everything was extremely clean.

Fantastic building in a great area. We felt very safe during our stay. Room was a great size and was kept very clean. Loved having the common area with coffee/water/tea available 24/7 and the breakfast was great as well. Highly recommend and would book again!

Because its a heritage property there’s really no soundproofing. Foam earplugs are very effective though so I recommend you bring one.

Major points for being a well preserved heritage building, complete with the charming old style lift. Its also at a great location - i walked from the hotel to almost all the major tourist spots such as Sagrada Familia and the Cathedral. But its still a quiet neighborhood at night. There’s a grocery nearby and lots of restaurants and cafes that make you feel like living like a local!

The dining area was fun and open to meet people. The rooms were small unless u upgraded which kind of had a sitting area with windows, but at $300 a nite, I expected more than an air shaft. However was extremely clean and efficient bathroom with shower. It was a nice residential area with a lot of pop up boutiques and wide sidewalks. Not close to walk to tourist areas. Had to take other transportation. The lady at the desk was so nice to help me take my luggage down to street and a full breakfast which other B and Bs didn’t have on my trip

I recommend changin the room lighting to warm light. And maybe add eggs to the breakfast. Since the hotel is located on the 2nd floor of the building and the beautiful elevator is a very old and special one, in case its out of order (it happend while we where staying) you need to be on a good shape to climb up the stairs. Other then that we had a great experience and we highly recommend the hotel

You can hear neighbors quite well, but in an old building it's perfectly normal. There are no street noises.

Only one thing to note- a shower curtain/cover would be good! Our bedroom had a shower in the corner, and while it was nice not to have to share it with other guests, others may not be comfortable showering in front of friends/family!

Perfect location! We could walk to pretty much anywhere we wanted, and if we couldn’t, Hostal Girona is located a five minute walk from a Metro station. The building is super cool, and we heard no noise at all from neighbours, or other guests. As two female travellers, we felt very safe in the area, even at night. Our room was clean and comfortable. It was refreshed each day by the cleaners, too. Breakfast was great- a good selection of breads/cheeses/pastries/yoghurt/fruit etc. We were happy to be able to revisit the breakfast room any time during the day to get more water/coffee.

This is a hotel from an group of very nice Barcelonian, who are running a whole first floor of an old, Hausman style, building. Surprising at first to enter a private building and ringing on the door of the first floor, but the careful renovation, respecting Catalan style and tradition, the warm welcome, the arrangement as a typical personal appartment with kitchen and salon, make the whole experience like feeling home in Barcelona. Noisy at night. Door buzzer is super loud and woke us up as other guests came back late in the evening. Also dividing wall was thin so we heard a lot of noise from the next room — they were not super loud but we still heard TV and talking.

Great location in central but safe part of Barcelona. Wonderful old building with lots of charm. Lovely staff.

Room lack's of furniture like bedside table or shelves and no space in the bathroom washbasin to leave your stuff except toothbrush. Bed mattress not comfy.
