How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

It is a very clean, nice hotel, with comfortable beds and nice rooms. The staff was very pleasant and helpful, especially Renata, who went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. For us, it was a great place to stay for the night. Also, the food at the hotel, while on the expensive side, was very good.

The location is perfect: near the railway station. The bus from airport has a stop here too. The breakfast was great!

This is a beautiful hotel. The breakfast was excellent. Unfortunately the restaurant was booked out so it might be advisable to book in advance. The staff were professional and helpful and conscious of dietary requirements. The choice of the decor is modern and the ambience delightful. The rooms are spacious. Parking facilities are excellent and access is easy. The location of the hotel is superb as it is only a short walking distance to the city centre. We really look forward to another stay in this hotel.

The TV did not work.
The breakfast was very good, the dinner was excellent. Rooms clean, close to downtown, great private parking in the garage for 15 euros/day. the staff was very nice. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

It has a kitchinette that is not equipped at all, not a single fork or knife, it's just in the pictures and it has no use. The room was clean but the furniture is outdated, and compared to Valencia this hotel was more expensive and the town is not nearly as touristic as Valencia. I was expecting at least the possibility to serve a coffee in the room, but it has no coffee machine, and to be able to heat some water we had to use the microwave. Also we paid for 4 people but we had two cups only. We left early in the morning so we did not have the chance to serve breakfast or any other meal. The sofa was not that confortable.
The hotel is close to the railway station, that's why we chose it, anyway we booked this hotel for one night because it was close to Castellon Aiport in Valencia area. It also has a parking area, checkin and checkout really simple

Location close to Center (quite despite close to station). Underground parking spacious, however needs to be payed. Breakfast very good. Frederic at reception was extremely helpful.

No kettle or drink making facilities in the room. Kettle provided on request. As this was a junior executive suite with a microwave, it would have seemed appropriate to provide some plates, more glasses and cups.
Big room. Great restaurant. Convenient for the train station. Helpful staff.

The parking is to expensive: I've leaved my car in the parking at about 11.30 p.m. and take out at 8.30 at the morning. Cost 14,00 €. No way.
The room n*205 really good, good open space, confortable bed and a.right bathroom.

We couldn't control the airco, so we had to open the window during the night.
Very good and espacious room, clean as well. Good garage for big cars. Very good breakfast with fresh orange juice.

The whole experience of staying at the Luz Hotel is wonderful. It is conveniently situated for the Rail and bus station and tram line to centre and the port. The hotel restaurant is first class. Thank you all at Hotel Luz

Depending on what time you came down to breakfast, some of the warm food was very stale and tasted old.
