How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The price I thought it was relatively expensive for the location and what you get. Especially since we were there in the off season and the location is very remote. Also the swimming pool was closed

This property is very thoughtfully set-up to meet traveller's needs. Rooms are clean & the small table & chairs a bonus. Outside, we had access to a refrigerator and microwave plus the use of a larger and very well equipped kitchen. The lounge & outdoor area is very comfortable and attractive. There's a washing machine, clothes line & pegs for use as well. Mundobriga is a quiet & attractive village surrounded by grapevines.

Not so easy to find, no parking for disabled.
Clean room for disabled person with comfortable large bed. Good entrance to the bathroom with all facilities.

Small room, not much light from the window. Extra pillows would be great!
Our host kindly upgraded our room to one with a kitchenette. Thank you! The room is very small, smaller than some hotel rooms, but for one night it is manageable. We heated our supper in the microwave and also water for our instant coffee. We didn’t use the shower, but the towels were in good condition and fluffy. The view of the church and the countryside from the rooftop is beautiful! Great outdoor furniture and a grill, too. It is a pretty spot for a stopover.

in ground floor, whenever someone flushes, you hear the pipes- could be a bit loud. not something to wake u up in the middle of the night unless you wake up super easily

Not really a dislike. More about improving future stays. Not enough pillows. As someone who needs to sleep more upright due to health conditions rooms never supply enough generally..
Very clean and fantastic location. Staff very helpful.. Well presented. Facilities excellent. Bedding great quality which isn't usual with rooms in Booking.. Having a pool was perfect and the outdoor space very nice indeed.. A definite hotel we will visit on our next trip.

Bed and Mattress not upto standard, creeks a lot ! Size of room as stated is extremely optimistic!!!!! Lacking some basic equipment in the Kitchen. Swimming Pool area certainly not very welcoming!! Poor value for money.

property description on booking.com was done creatively, unfortunately on almost every point there was some disappointment.. from strange oily water, to rooftop views, to jacuzzi bath that made nice bubbles, but was so noisy it was not comfortable to use and scared our child.. comparing with our stay night before in France (country house near Pyrenees) and night later in Spain (4* seaside hotel) for lower price we had great views, bigger rooms with fresh air, good breakfast included .. And did not need to spend 30 mins driving in circles around the destination trying to find a street wide enough to squeeze our car through .. For half the price, I would not object much, but as it was, it was not the best value ...
bar near the church owner communication was good, exact google location for the property entrance and a passable route to the car park would be helpful

The stairs from the second to the first floor in the apartment are a bit risky for small kids, and the pool does not receive any sun during the day.
It is a comfortable place well located in Munébrega. The shower is great.

The manager sent us a WhatsApp with directions of how to enter the building, codes etc. But because we couldn't pick up the internet we didn't get this. So we had to call her. There is no one in the building so if there is a problem you need to phone. There wasn't many people in the building but we could hear a lot of noise from our neighbour upstairs. It's very rural and one place to eat across the road. Our satnav took us off the main road and onto a single track road for almost an hour without seeing any other traffic. Fantastic scenery but could have been awkward if we had run out of fuel. So be aware! Much better route leaving the town.
The hostel had lots a quirky areas to sit and a swimming pool and some lovely views but unfortunately for us the weather wasn't good so not able to take advantage of this. The bar across from the hostel was full of the people from the small village and had a great atmosphere and good service. The lady who showed us our room was lovely and very helpful. The bed was the the most comfortable that we have slept in in the four weeks we were traveling in Spain and super cosy pillows.
