How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

I didn't mind having two twin beds pushed together in my room at all, but they were on wheels on a slick floor which made it impossible to keep them pushed together, it would have been nice if the feet were more stabilized or the bed was made as one or something to utilize the full bed space!
The decor was beautiful, the bartender was excellent, the room was amazing, loved having a shower and a tub, and my bed was very comfortable. I loved the look of everything the hotel offered! The staff was kind, but a couple of the front desk people seemed very new and didn't always give the right information on things.

The one thing we didn't like was the small eating area- breakfast and other meals and the bar were all in the main hotel entrance lobby. But there are hundreds of other eating options within minutes, so not a big hardship.
Superb location, just a couple of minutes to the central plaza and other wonderful buildings and the central market. Very easy to get around from here either on foot or from many bus stops and train station round the corner. Very approachable and personable staff, great roof bar and next door to reasonable priced parking. Can also rent bikes and store them in the hotel basement. Boutique feel to the hotel wirh a personal touch. Very comfy beds and nice shower. Great choice!

Perfect location, Very nice staff, beautiful interior vhere you feel really comfortable. We arrived early morning and the room was already ready. Delicious served breakfast.

Only minor things (and they were not a fault of the hotel, I believe) - the smell in the first room (and the hotel offered us another one, right away), some intermittent issues with connecting to the smart TV (also fixed). So practically nothing
Beautiful hotel, right in the center of everything. Great design up to the smallest details (even the music in the lobby), tasty breakfast, well-thought-of rooms, not huge but really convenient. But most of all - the staff were super helpful and friendly, every minor mishap was solved seamlessly and quickly.

Theme Hotel, following 1920-1930 Style - not my personal Style, but well executed

The few improvements they could make is more sun beds near the pool (I saw some disappointed faces) and the possibility to have drinks, tea or coffee served in the lobby during the day. They have a beautiful bar in the lobby, but there is no staff around.
I liked about everything! Location, room, staff, decor. Loved the little extra’s like a bubble bad in the room. Will definitely return.

Despite Marriott Bonvoy stating they have the cheapest rates, they didn't and booking.com did. If you book through booking.com, none of your member points are recognised, so I can't highly rate booking this hotel through booking.com as this isn't pointed out anywhere until I asked the hotel, at which point the booking is confirmed. Further, even though the booking was made for 2 people, the room was set up as if it was for a single person with only 1 robe and 1 flannel. The coffee pods were not replaced after the first day, so the second day there was no coffee in the morning. No towels are left accessible by the pool in the morning, I only saw them being taken out in the early afternoon each day, so either keep yours aside or you'll have to request from reception. This also means the sunbeds are less hygienic as you had to sit on it without a towel. Whilst the rooftop bar was a great setting for evening drinks, there was a bit of a lack of atmosphere on our first night. I felt they could make better use of ambient music. These are minor details and didn't make our experience a bad one, but with small tweaks it could be a fabulous experience.
Beautiful hotel, well located. Loved the espresso machine in the room. The lighting in the bathrooms of this room is really fantastic, as are the cute bedside lampshades. Really fabulous! The rooftop pool was a great plus for the hotel, set aside a bar with a beautiful dome ceiling. The bed was extremely comfortable. Combined with the blackout blinds I slept extremely well. And the girl who checked us in was kind enough to proactively move us away from the lift so that we could enjoy our stay without disturbance, which I very much appreciated.
