How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. A good hotel, good sea views in some rooms,very central and near to everything. Appreciated the kettle and cups in the room for tea and coffee The staff were good and helped us out , as we had forgot our passports ! The only down side was, the music playing in the nearby nightclub on Saturday night, so you will need some ear plugs, although on Sunday night all was quiet. Gracias

The staff were lovely beautifully clean room and bathroom very comfortable bed and pillows . Tea tray and kettle unusual in a spanish hotel no milk or sugar though. Tv was good and there was complimentary sweets, a generous amount, in the room. Complimentary shower gel and emergency new packaged comb and toothbrush available. For a 2 star hotel it was excellent . However whe er got there to get ready yo go out see went to use the shower absolutely stone cold water. Not good when we decided to get ready at the hotel! No showers couldn't shampoo hair. Not good the water pump had gone so they had someone to repair it but too late to use that night. Also we booked early in the year for new years eve party and we requested a sea view. This is s huge hotel either many seaview rooms.l understand that its not a guaranteed. Request but the other people in lir party booked only s couple of weeks before and every single one of them had a view of the stunning mojacar Beach and sea. So they must have had rooms with sea views available but just did not give one to us that had booked first!! So with no hot water, no sea view this is why we marked our stay down. Only a hotel that size you would think would have s back up hot water system!!

We constantly find properties advertise a TV as a facility but unfortunately they rarely have programes in English which is very annoying when they are only too happy to want expats, from whatever country, but lack even a news channel for their guests. There was a stale smell in the room which meant the patio door had to be left open.
The checking in was friendly and efficient. The room was clean and comfortable and the sea view did not disappoint. The location was ideal as we like to walk along the seafront. Lots of bars and restaurants within walking distance, everything we could have asked for.

Loud music at 3.00am from beach club opposite the hotel. My own fault for not researching the location a bit more.
Sea view with small balcony. 3 minute walk to the beach. However very loud music noise from beach bars at 3.00am in the morning

The room had a "make shift" extraction pipe for the Aircon. This "dripped" into a plastic bottle which was extremely annoying. My husband suffers from Tinnitus so this was not good. I went and asked the lady at reception if the room could be changed. Without any hesitation, she changed it straight away which I thought was Excellent customer service. She deserves a big pat on the back, very helpful!!!

Would have been great to have a mini fridge and we had no kettle.
Very close to restaurants and bars but not noisy, clean with fresh towels and room cleaned daily . Very well priced .

The fact that there was is a club facing the hotel that played booming music till 4am.. so no sleep

Would have liked a better pillow, there was only 1 each & they were very flat
Location was excellent & even though you were across the road from some busy late night bars you couldn't hear any noise with the balcony door closed. Room was very clean & well maintained. Bed was comfortable. Air conditioning was very good.

website and e’mail confirmation stated 2.30 checkin. Reception was closed with notices up stating reception open until 2 and then from 5 o’clock. Ended up waiting around in a cafe due to bad weather from 2.30 when we originally arrived until 5 pm. Went to reception again and still no-one there so rung them up. Got told to check in at other hotel in the same square. No notices in reception telling us this.
