Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

TurkeyI respect the rules set by the hotel management. But I also need to mention an important problem... Cash payment is not accepted at check-in? It was said me that there is also no guarantee when paying via the "pay pal" system! During the checking in I did use my regular credit card but it did not work? I could not understand why? I experienced a problem that I have never encountered before. After some effort and wasting time, I was able to pay the accommodation fee with the same credit card, but this situation, which delayed the check-in process, made me stressed and annoyed. I friendly recommend that the hotel management also facilitate the "cash payment" option in such cases. Because money is money. There should be no difference between paying it in cash or by credit card.
I am a "level 3 genious member" of "Booking.com" system. As a frequent traveler who has visited 130 countries in the world, I can say that this facility is perfect in every respect. The location and cleanliness are great. The employees are friendly and very responsive in problem solving.

Really good location close to transportation links and supermarkets. The small double room doesn’t have any place to store your clothes and doesn’t have a fridge. There is a luggage store you can use and a kitchen (microwaves/ kettles/ fridges) downstairs

I was very comfortable so I would say I Enjoyed my stay. Comfort is one thing I was always look for and I got that while staying here. The room was clean.

AustraliaThere is nothing in the room other than the basics. They do this deliberately to keep the costs down so it's not really a negative. Just be prepared for no room tv, no room fridge, no cutlery in the room. However you can get cutlery from the foyer.
The location is unbeatable. Close to supermarkets, some restaurants, trams, buses and the metro. (Helsinki has brilliant public transport and is worth using.) The rooms are modern with a good bathroom. Comfortable bed. Good wifi. Good working area for computer or eating. Very easy to get to from the airport - train to Central station then 2 stops on the metro (to Hakaniemi - use exit A or B), then a 2 minute walk.
