How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Not much, it is a 15 minute walk to the main square and harbour where ferries go from.
Room felt modern and clean. Breakfast was good with lots of choice. Is a 10 mins walk from the central station which gives easy access to the airport.

We were not able to close out the daylight with curtains during Finnish night, because of wall-construction in our room.
Close to city center, but in a calm street. With some minutes walk we can reach city center, train station and harbour from here. Breakfast was wide range, thank you. Very comfortable bed was in our room.

They charge extra for espresso during breakfast! I stayed in five other hotels on this trip and everyone had a machine that provided a variety of coffee choices, but not here. The only complaint.

The hotel is brand new, the room was very comfortable and the size was good too. I slept like a baby: very good bed, quiet. Bathroom was a good size, toiletries were very good. Breakfast was rich, you can have from fruit to eggs, meat and fish, cheese and sweets. I bet they can match all kind of request! And location is perfect!!!

Floor in the room wasn't very clean. Not visible but under my feet were instantly dirty after shower. The towel bar for the towels was also loose.
Very good breakfast and variety in the breakfast. Very nice staff. Location is great.

- Property has no laundry facilities; laundry service is expensive. - Having USB charging connexions on tables next to bed (didn't see them) - This one is not the hotel's fault but there are always a few poor souls who are forgetful when using old style lifts and do not take a few seconds to close the grate or the door before leaving. These lifts hail from years past and are really great to use. If you had lived in an apartment with such a lift and forgot, you would get a nice reminder.
Breakfast was a complete affair that can satisfy many requirements. Had maple syrup and the small croissants were very tasty and flaky. Location was excellent - near enough to many places of interest to walk to, depends on your willingness of course. But trams are in abundance and can reach many places in reasonable time. Business travelers will be well served with the work spaces providing power and a good wifi system.

Check-in can be busy, as it's a large hotel.
Close to train station. One of the biggest breakfast spreads I can recall with local specialties (meatballs, spinach pancakes, lingonberries) as well as things like eggs, oatmeal, fruit, pastries and much more.

Not enough places to put stuff in the room. I was there for a week and I like to unpack completely. There just wasn't enough shelving or drawers. I ended up lining my stuff up on the window sill, which worked fine as it was quite large. A few more shelves and pegs would have been helpful.
Great location. Very clean. Very comfortable. Great breakfast. Nice and helpful staff. It was just super easy, it worked perfectly for us.
