Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomBit of a faff having to pick up and drop keys off at restaurant but it was only across the road, communicating with the owner was excellent Couldn't get the shower on hot, ran it for over 10 minutes, and I didnt have time to contact the owner, had a train to catch Could do with a handle on front doors as I found I was using the key in lock to slide it open

The room itself exceeded my expectation. Then the bathroom and it's mirror light. I love the fact that I was on the topmost floor. Overall, it exceeded my expectation. Lots of China restaurants on the Stowell street to have Chinese at an affordable price as well. Chinatown 😊

We liked the room it was small but nice for two of us. Nice that you get extras such as tea coffee and hot chocolate as it doesn’t state on the booking. The bed was really comfy. Quiet on a night too.

United KingdomRooms are a little dated. Bedlinen not of the best quality. Bed was a little soft for me and gave me a slight back issue but then I usually like a fairly firm bed so other people might have found this quite comfortable. Bathroom is a wet room, which is okay but the mat on the floor was damp when I arrived. A very large toilet roll means you have to really take it out in order to sit on the toilet easily. The toilet really is too close to the wall. Unfortunately, the shower temperature knob didn’t really work so the water was stuck too hot for my liking. as I only stayed one night I did not raise the issue but it meant really I had to wash in the sink. The key box for leaving your key if you leave before 10 am was extremely difficult to work. I think it may even be broken. Fortunately, I was able to leave the key in the bubble tea place next door but it was quite stressful as I was heading for a train and was battling with this stupid thing before I realised there was someone available to take the key. The room looks like it is in the eaves, so the window is on a slanted, wall/roof. This means that the window blind just hangs down into the room vertically and doesn’t really shut out the light. At night you get lights from other buildings shining in And obviously in the morning the Sun shines in. Doesn’t make for the best nights sleep.
Good location in Chinatown. Not far to the station and plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby. Lift available which was good.

United KingdomUnfortunately it was in extremely poor condition. The toilet still had poo in from the last person and the sink/shower was extremely dirty. After this, we wasn't confident that the room had been cleaned at all. We left a few hours after we arrived and handed the keys back. It's good to note, we still haven't received a refund a week later even though the owner of the property said they have contacted booking.com about giving us one.

United KingdomBed was uncomfortable, wallpaper coming off walls, bathroom had mould growing in it, also the bathroom door didn't have a handle on the inside so if you were alone u would be stuck in there, no staff working there, the lobby is an absolute joke complete mess tables stacked no lights either, gain entrance through a sliding door which you have to operate manually, elevator is dirty. To sum everything up its embarrassingly bad

United KingdomThere were no instructions/ password for the internet The shower didn’t have hot water despite trying for 15 minutes so I had to wash as best I could in cold water There was a little light which was useful but there was no obvious way to turn it off. I was only staying one night and checked in quickly as I was out and was back at 11pm so some of these issues would have I’m sure been rectified as the guy was very friendly. But I did pay for the room expecting these facilities.
