Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwitzerlandThe breakfast atrium is a little cold and uninviting, but the breakfast was adequate enough despite one of the juice machines not working. We had requested twin beds in Booking.com and confirmed at reception, but the room was set up as a double. However, I cannot fault the speed with which the team sorted the bed situation out.
The hotel had been open a week, so everything was pristine. The swimming pool and sauna was amazing. The hotel was in a good spot opposite Hatton Cross Station, which is free to get to from the Heathrow Terminals (you just need scan a card, it won't be debited). A plane spotters delight as they often take off in that direction. The soundproofing of the hotel is excellent though. The staff were friendly.

OmanThe breakfast is similar for all days. The buffet dinner value expansive.
The hotel was very near Heathrow Airport, either by train or by car. The underground station is very near the hotel, only 5 minutes walking. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good; it only needs to be enhanced by changing the foods from day to day. The manager was very helpful to us, and we would like to thank him for what he did and for the compliments he gave us.

BelgiumIt's impossible to open windows so the air inside the rooms gets really bad almost irrespirable, we were not allowed to pay cash and this caused us to lose money on exchange since our credit card is in EUR, the breakfast wasn't too varied (same food served each day, no vegetables, one of the juice dispensers was not working)
Location close to the subway and motorway, cleanliness, private parking

United KingdomGreat swimming pool but music too loud, sauna not working … barely 70oC. This might have been down to other guests leaving the door open in fairness to the hotel. There is no shower outside the sauna and steam room so despite signs asking patrons to shower before entering the pool dripping with sweat I saw no one showering. The restaurant / bar area was like the moon…… no atmosphere ! It’s not the sort of room you’d want to relax in unfortunately but there is a decent pub about 400 yds down the road.
Very new and fresh, great location. Reception staff very friendly and were able to give us good advice with regards travel to the airport. The train station for Heathrow is directly across the road and free for all the terminals….. just a few minutes train ride away.

NetherlandsRoom allocated had no fridge, TV didn’t work, safe didn’t work . Reception staff were very good and gave us another room . On the third day the chambermaid left the door open all afternoon so anybody could walk in . Luckily nothing was taken but we were really shocked . Reception staff were very apologetic.

United KingdomBreakfast was pretty much like a school cafeteria. Food was cold. Hotel seems to love neon blue lighting which just makes it look dated rather than cool. Beds were very firm. Not so firm that I'd say they were hard. But very firm.
Originally booked the hotel as it's right across the road from Hatton Cross Station so would be ideal for getting to the airport first thing in the morning. Due to train strikes though we ended up coming by car. not sure I would have booked the hotel otherwise. It was more convenience. Bedrooms were clean and plenty of car parking. Air con in room worked.

United KingdomThe breakfast could be better, even though it is under a hotplate light, both mornings it was lukewarm at best. Breakfast time was not busy when I visited but there were still items missing from the hotplate.
The hotel had only been open 3 days when we visited, so was naturally bright and clean. Staff were polite at all times and even whilst they were still learning some of the system they would hold a conversation and not leave you waiting in silence. Rooms are very spacious with comfortable large bed and there is no noise from the aircraft’s flying close overhead. The location to Hatton Cross is excellent to be able to jump straight into the Piccadilly line of the tube and be in central London in 40 mins.
