A simple request at booking generated lots and LOTS of mainly automated emails that gave the impression simply asking if we could leave the car early and check in later was a problem. Of course it wasn't on arrival but we started with a very negative impresson and a tense journey. And what did we need a PIN number for? Gave theimpression it was going to be self check-in/all automated. Just too many emails. Continental breakfast could've been better (e.g. better bread) but for the price it was worth it just to sit in the lovely high-ceilinged room, and enjoy the lounge next door afterwards.

Bailey Lodge is superb - we needed somewhere for just one night, and where we didn't have to bother about parking in town. It was a lovely building, shabby in a good way (given its age) but clean and cared for. Lovely green setting and garden, quiet despite proximity to main road, and easy to get into Bath by bus outside. Staff were minimal but lovely and super-friendly. Rooms had everything you could need - including a bath not just a shower!

I dont have any complaints as such. I just think they are missing what a great building and situation they have. They could make a mint from overseas visitors if they took advantage of having a Georgian hotel so close to Bath. Although clean, it is a bit unloved, and they've allowed the beautiful furniture to become ruined by guests by not protecting it. I did enjoy it, though, and would return. Needs a bit of a revamp in the Georgian style. It could be beautiful.

Loved the Georgian building and the huge four poster beds.

Decor needs attention but added some character to the hotel. Sink is in the room but wasn't too bothered about that Would be nice to have a coffee machine in the room instead of a cheap kettle.

The staff there made us feel very welcome right from the outset. Breakfast was good free parking lovely garden, the room we had was spacious and the bed was comfortable once you got up into it. The owner explained about decor before I could ask

It’s only two miles from Bath Town centre, but it’s a pain to be waiting at bus stops all the time. Buses only run one every 30 minutes, so not a great service.

It’s a very elegant old country house.

The carpet in our room had a sticky gross section. We ended up covering that area with the bath mat. Without a car, getting to Bath would have been 30 minutes walk along the main road. There was no AC in the room, just a table fan. Luckily we were able to leave the window open and get fresh air.

Old English charm but needs better maintenance and some updates. The staff were helpful. Tea, coffee in the room is always appreciated.

As a traveller who also works on the go, wifi is terrible. I couldn’t do a single thing. I would hope that there are better breakfast options for the price of £8.

Everything is exactly as per the images. Tea and coffee provided. Hair dryer and toiletries provided as well. There is also an option for breakfast for £8. Walking distance to the city centre. Otherwise there are affordable parking around in the city itself.

    - if you travel without car the hotel is rather far from the city centre - the breakfast is cheap, but I would be glad to pay more to have more options

    - very helpful stuff at reception - vintage furnishing and the building itself make special atmosphere which I like - nice location if you travel by car - it was warm in the room

There is no option for english breakfast. The price was to high for the room, stayed on a weekend though. The bathroom of the room needs a renovation. Bus schedule is verry inconvient.

Its an old building, thats nice. Breakfast was cereal, bred. There is a bus station to the city center close by, the ride takes about 10min.

The bathroom needs repair as the grout around the bath has cracked from the tiles (I was worried about water seeping down the back of the tiles) and the ceiling has mould. Easy fixes though.

The staff were very welcoming and helpful, especially Vipin. The room was clean and comfortable with a good tea tray. The bedroom was as expected and we slept really well. The house itself has a lot of character.

The breakfast could have been better. Continental breakfast just doesn’t do it everytime.

The rooms were quite big unlike the normal types in the UK. The property is at a very peaceful location and there’s no outside traffic noise whatsoever.
