Double bed was made of two separate beds on wheels, so it was moving around a bit.

Friendly staff, amazing interiors, very clean – in general, top standard. Unlimited mineral water. Tasty breakfast and delicious indian quisine!

We definitely will book the Black Lion next time we plan a visit to London.

Kilburn has a plethora of chains and takeouts and a shortage of nice, interesting sit-down places to eat. Interestingly, the Black Lion is one of those places, and you can easily see it's popularity. There's also a very nice Italian place nearby.

Rooms are quiet, comfy, and cleaned daily. High marks to the mattress. Breakfast (included) was tasty and full of variety. High Kilburn Road is a bit outside central London, so you need to take the Underground or bus a short distance to get into the business/historic parts of town. But Kilburn is on the Jubilee Line and on a bus line that goes down Abbey Road (a surprise discovery). There's also aboveground service pretty much all the way to Gatwick.

Close to tube + overground trains (5 min max on foot). Perfectly considered + delivered. Room was spacious, pleasing in its design + equipped to highest standard. The food in the restaurant/bar was as good as any + superior to many more fancied restaurants + good value for money into the bargain. Continental-type breakfast: all fresh + tasty. A gem of a place . Great credit to the management + staff. Thanks.

    Delightful Stay at Black Lion
    • Leisure trip
    • Couple
    • Queen Room

No air conditioning would be my only complaint. Despite lots of street noise the room was quiet with windows shut but needed ventilation/cooling on the hot days we were there (high 70s F).

Beautifully appointed rooms, large, comfortable beds, wash cloths (!), fabulous shower, excellent continental breakfast and friendly/helpful staff.

It was a good distance from the popular spots and Heathrow, but the underground isn’t a far walk from the guesthouse. No real complaints.

The room was very nice, it overlooked the street which was very busy at night. The room was a comfortable size for two. The gentlemen who worked there helped us carry our bags up the steps. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. They even held our bags after check out. Continental breakfast in the pub was just enough each morning. The pub is beautiful and their Sunday roast was fabulous!

The location was a little noisy, but it didn't bother us at night with the windows closed.

No iron was available only a steamer, even though the continental breakfast was very tasty and the yoghurt jars and croissants were beautiful cooked options would be good.

It felt very new and clean whilst keeping the buildings history/charm. Old stove made into a feature in my room. Food and drinks were really good especially the lamb chops.

The only thing which we found frustrating was the noise levels on the street but this isn’t something that the owners could control. We weren’t woken up but you could hear the hustle and bustle of London.

The property is beautiful - it was an old building which had clearly been looked after well, with the pub having some outstanding ceilings and wooden panelling. The tube to Covent Garden was only 20 minutes. The hotel room was exactly as advertised on their site, was spacious, clean and with lovely decor. The food both in the pub and served st breakfast was brilliant and the staff from the pub and hotel were so helpful and friendly. They were more than happy to help my partner who’d asked for an early check in and Prosecco in the room for my birthday - they even did me a birthday card. We will definitely be back.

Rooms were extremely clean. Continental Breakfast was perfect. Hotel is 5 mins away from both Underground and Overground stations. We had our own personal entrance to Guesthouse which was very handy for comings and goings. There were unlimited free water bottles available which was great. Staff were extremely accommodating and kept our bags after checkout so we could continue to explore. There isn’t much in the area but the stations are so close I can’t complain. Highly recommend the Black Lion and would stay again!!
