well where do I start so we arrived at the azure hotel to find a note on the door saying we needed to go and pick our keys up for a different hotel or call a number... we were running late as it was so this was not a great start,., I walked to the other hotel and the reception was closed and was taken to the mangers office by a 10 year old girl.. he was ok and offered to upgrade is to a better room which I thought was very nice but thats where things went from bad to worse The room stunk of mold, mold all over the walls, blown glass windows so could hardly see out of them, a fridge and a kettle in a room with no plugs apart from 1 which was the other side to where the fridge and kettle was, stains all over the floor, every floor board creaked and made noise when walking around, large picture on the wall above the beds fell down on us when we had the windows open, The list will go on

it was just round the corner of where we needed to be and had ok parking but there was about it for the nice things really, maybe a nice looking shower room

Booking in across road in different hotel unacceptable. Floors exceptionally dirty. No bedside table or lights. Electric sockets not near bed as said on facilities listing. No television remote and because reception outside and across road too tired to report. No carbon monoxide detector as said on facilities list. No instructions in case of fire. Heating not working but fire hazard anyway as fridge directly in front of heater. Only 2 pillows, and those very thin. Hot tap dripped unless closed very tightly and because I have rheumatoid arthritis in hands had to keep asking husband to open/close tap. No excuse not to have reception in foyer, probably not employing enough staff. Floor looked disgustingly dirty and worn. Husband did not want to stay but I said as only for one night we could cope.

It looked clean due to fresh paint

Do not do it!! Never seen anything like it. Arrived to a lock door with a note on it to collect keys from a different hotel, from what we saw the blokes running multiple hotels from one!! Receptionist was rude hardly spoke English and not a clue what she was doing. The ‘manager’ came to escort me to my hotel and room, to which he tells me the room I’ve booked isn’t available and now we’re in an ‘upgrade’ I will add the photos of said upgrade. Grotty little hovel safe to say we did not stay. They take a photocopy of your ID, weird. They charge you £15 parking for a carpark not big enough to accommodate. After I rang booking.com and told to check out without fees as the hotel did not accommodate as they should and I’ll get refunded in 30 days!!! I took the keys back over and the receptionist was fuming, rang her ‘man’ as she kept repeating. In he comes and argued with me that the room was an upgrade and new sofa bed, I booked a superior family room with four beds not a bloody sofa! I explained for £157 a night it was unacceptable he continued to argue the quality! I asked the ‘man’ if he had slept on the sofa bed ‘yes Madame perfect’ and when I told him I am not accepting this weird rude dive of a lightly put hotel he said he was calling booking.com on me!! I can’t even put into words how crappy the room was. Don’t waste your time or money!

We left we did not stay

All of it from booking in to booking out. Kettle air con, shower did not work. Noisy outside and noisy inside when other guests returned. Temperature of room hot, bed tiny partner who was wall side had to climb over to get out due to position of wardrobe, at end of bed. No one to talk to face to face upon leaving. Just a disaster!!

The bed mattress was a bit too firm for my liking . an extra charge for parking should be mentioned on the booking.com website .

Hotel is located in the nice west part of Bournemouth and fairly central ,close to the pier BIC centre , park and shops , had a couple of problems with the room initially but the owner soon rectified this and upgraded my room with no problem at all ,after all the hotel had only just opened and not quite finished, the hotel and room seemed freshly decorated and clean throughout , shower was good . Room was quiet.
