Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomVery very basic, seemed more like I was placed in staff accommodation, curtains were not matching or hung properly. There appeared to be someone's travel kit in the bathroom. The bedding had some marks on the fitted sheet but not sure if this was due to stains or not, I was so tired I just slept the other side of the bed that appeared clean. Cheap mattress but surprisingly comfy.
It was close to the beach, pubs and restaurants. Good location.

United KingdomAlthough I knew the hotel was not great judging by some of the reviews and the price I paid for my room, the staff were brilliant to the point man on reception upgraded my room from a single bed to a double on the top floor room (due to not many people staying at the hotel on that particular day Monday) 401 which had a sea view over looking the roof tops. The room was quite clean but the carpet was horrible and an unpleasant smell in the room. All of a sudden a cat appeared from under the bed and darted for the bathroom window which I closed immediately. It must of been left open by the cleaners, that explains the smell and how dirty the carpet was. Apparently the cat belongs to a neighbour by the hotel and must use the room quite often as a hideout if the bathroom window is left open. (So beware if staying in rooms 401, 402 and 403) The man on reception did apologise and offered to move me to another room but I said it’s fine as I’m only there one night and just unpacked my stuff. The location is perfect if heading towards the beach, pavilion gardens or main high st, bars and restaurants. The hotel itself could do with a major revamp and money spent as it’s very worn, used and in need of desperate TLC (it’s like stepping back in time as it’s early 80s very worn decor) it could then be a really lovely hotel. I cannot fault the staff though they are lovely, friendly and always smiling.

United KingdomThe door of the bathroom was broken, and the shower was not given enough water, so was a bit uncomfortable to take a proper shower. But the rest was nice to have one night with clean air from the sea.
Good Location close to the beach, ideal for one night. The bed and the pillow were comfortable.

United KingdomCleaniness could have been better, the room could have done with a deep clean and decorating. The paint work was chipped and there were stains on the carpet. The one wardrobe doors did not open, the toilet roll holder was broken and I slightly pull the shower screen to get into the shower and it came off its hinges. I asked three times for more toilet roll and reported the shower screen twice. The black lace curtains were shabby chic meets gothic horror!
Breakfast was not included. The location is wonderful near to the town centre and the beach.

United KingdomThe rooms need updating was very 1970s, I did not like the fact the rooms are so hot and ours was on a very busy main road and you hear all the teffix. Would not pay the full 144 for the room thats way to much for a tiny standard room. Says come with hair dryer and dosent, the illuminmouse bluejeans that shines through your window is very annoying as well

United KingdomWhere do I start. The beds were awful, the decoration was falling off the walls, the bath panel was held on with sellotape and the window in the shower room was rotten and mouldy. Also it’s £15 a day to park (not advertised) no breakfast (not a bad thing because the Olive Cafe a 5 min walk away is amazing) and the place wreaked of damp

United KingdomRoom wasn't good. Curtains did little to block out light from outside. The bed was quite small and a cheap bolted tube frame which creaked, it was hot and they had no fans, the bed sheet was a overly-hot velour and wadding-filled thing. The whole place felt tired and a bit shabby rather than just old with character. I appreciate there's no such thing as a cheap hotel in this area in summer at short notice.
Location was good and the staff did try to help with requests. Mattress was comfy.

United KingdomThere were so many small things that let this hotel down, that when put together made our stay difficult. Our room was directly off the reception area, and the first night we were kept awake by the general comings and goings, and a group of people talking outside our room for 45 mins. The next day I asked to be moved to a different room, which they did for us. The following negatives are across both rooms. There were no hand towels or bath mats in the bathrooms, I nearly fell getting out of the shower, and there was no where to put anything as no shelving. In the first room I had to tune the TV and set the clock to the correct time, it was 3 hrs fast and there was rubbish on the floor from the previous clients. Both rooms had no plug sockets next to the beds and only two in the rooms in total. The beds were uncomfortable and creaked a lot. The complimentary tea making facilities, we had no spoons and the little pots of milk weren't UHT so when we used them the milk had gone off as they weren't kept in the fridge.
The location was amazing, a 2 min walk to the beach with restaurants and a local store just over the road. Staff were very polite and welcoming.

Said they would replace but never I had to ask front desk for one. No not water in shower or sink. Major leak in the ceiling on the landing of the second floor which left a soaking wet carpet and wallpaper hanging from the ceiling..
