The room was a bit moist and there were bed bugs on one of the beds.

The location is great, 10 minutes walk to the beach and 15 mins walk to the centre. The price was acceptable.

The beds could have been a bit comfier, but not too bad. Also could have done with some detergent to wash the provided crockery.

Accommodation was very basic, but we expected that when we booked. Beds weren't the most comfortable but weren't bad. Shower was quite small but worked fine.

Just got back from a stag do in Bournemouth and I'm really pleased we chose to stay at Bunkhouse. It's a great place to stay with a large group of friends. Location couldn't be better, really close to the beach, town and the triangle. Loads of good bars and restaurants nearby. Despite being quite a busy area, the room was quiet and it was possible to get a good nights sleep.

The mattresses were very soft and we thought the freezer was a fridge so froze our milk!! (Our mistake!).

The property was so near the sea front and an easy walk to a dog friendly beach or the pier in the other direction. The Italian on the corner was fab - we went twice! The decor was practical and looked good, entry details were easy to follow, and Simon was super helpful with any questions - especially when we thought we’d left something behind! It was quiet, and accommodating of our dog.

The kitchens and our rooms toaster was not working we didn’t realise that there was a freezer not a fridge so our food went bad and at least make some fan in the rooms when it is really hot.

It was really good because it was near to the beach and it was near the shops no distractions were made at night and we really enjoyed.

The place wasn’t very clean. There was still rubbish from previous guests in our dustbin, and the toilet seat had some dust on it that we had to wipe. Blankets were very small both in size and thickness. There was no heating in the room. But people at the hotel were very responsive and friendly and provided us with a heater. What we didn’t like the most was how the room felt — the walls were made of brown cloth bags, the one people store potatoes in. I didn’t see it on the photos listed — the rooms seemed to have white walls on the pictures. The floor was the same too, but the floor doesn’t spoil the vibe as much as the walls. There was a huge insect in the shower. The shower itself was also designed strangely, in a way where there is no way to know if it’s clean. Made from wood rather than tiles. There was no bathroom pictures listed, so that’s on us. But one might want to list more photos of rooms with different types of walls as well as bathrooms to avoid unmatched expectations. Overall it felt like we are massively overpaying, at almost 400 for 3 nights for 4 people. Staying didn’t feel restful, so we left early. Had it been much cheaper - I would say it’s okay, but for the cost it felt too bad at least to us.

The mattresses were terrible, it felt like we went straight through them when we lay down, we woke up with sore necks and backs. The room was freezing cold - we all slept in three or more layers. It sounded like the windows were open because of the noise even though they were closed.

The ease of check in and the location were great. Having an en-suite was handy. It was good for a short stay.

Furnishing and facilities were extremely basic and we did not expect to have bunk beds on three levels. Some matrasses were of vey poor quality. There was no table and no chairs and the seating facility was extremely basic, a wooden bench with a thin cushion on top and no back support, For the money we payed we could have booked three rooms in a three star hotel, which would have been much more pleasant.
