This is our second time to stay with Mark and Shona at their lovely B&B so everything was expected as the last time and it was lovely to see them again. We always feel welcomed and always have a hearty breakfast before we set off for our day's plans. The room and facilities are all very comfortable and just what you need for a break. This time, we decided to head off to further Peak sights and walking trails and realized they were all only a short drive away. The location is super central. We've come back from the trip feeling refreshed. Thank you again, Mark and Shona.

Option of fruit would have been nice at breakfast. We had a lovely breakfast but could have been warmer While we had the chance to discuss the area and places to visit, just a suggestion, maybe an outline of places, tips could be in the room as well?

Ensured there were options for the coeliac guest at breakfast, thank you Lot of opportunity to discuss the area and places to visit, so knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble Lovely walk along the river and the option to use our room for a drink before we moved on in the morning Fridge in the room meant I could put bottles of water in so they were cold the following day, very useful as it turned out hot

Second visit here and would recommend to family and friends. Would not hesitate to rebook again. Made to feel very welcome, but also very private and easy to relax.

The breakfast was excellent, good choice and host very helpful. Location of B&B very good for walking and great choice of restaurants. Little extra’s in the room like fresh milk and biscuits great touch.

Breakfast was excellent. cereals and full English on offer - all tasted lovely. Host very easy going and great to chat with over breakfast. Accommodation in converted stable block so was able to have the half stable door open looking onto nature . Beautiful. Indoors/outdoors connection but with lots of luxury. Great for walkers, climbers and cyclists. 15 mins drive away from Baslow and Chatsworth house and lots of walking for a 2 or 5 day stay. You are doing great Mark, keep up the excellent work of hosting.

The host, Mark, is super friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. He is also the breakfast chef and makes a breakfast based on your order each morning. Coffee, tea, juice, eggs, sausages, tomatoes, beans, bread, cereal and milks on offer. Eggs are fresh from a local farm and can be cooked to your preference. Portions are generous! The dining room is spacious and private and was perfect for our family visit. There are plenty of teas and coffees in the room, the heating and bedding is very cosy. A top notch B&B.

We would of liked heating controls in the room as we have gone from very mild weather to cold in basically in a day the room was a bit cold, Mark did say to let him no if we wanted it on earlier but we are not the type to bother people even if we are paying. As everybody comes and goes at various times it would be nice for us to set heating ourselves. Where you have breakfast is fantastic but also was a bit too cold, should of been warmed up more prior to breakfast. Please don't let this put you off though as Mark is a fantastic host, one of the best in the business. so next time as we will definitely be back we shall tell him or wear a coat to see if he takes the hint :D

Rooms were fab and roomy. Location was perfect with great walks from the door and plenty of places to eat. Breakfast was spot on, Mark did a grand job. Although there is no menu i'm pretty sure you will be accommodated. The host was the icing on the cake, we could of chatted to him for hours, funny guy with so many stories to tell, brilliant.

Honestly, this must be the best place we have ever stayed at, The room was lovely and clean, and for me beds are a big problem everywhere seems to think hard beds are ok, I hate hard beds, and at this location it was amazing it wasn't to soft nor to hard, in fact it was hard to drag my body from such a cozy bed Honestly. We had a little table and chairs outside our room, which we sat in the sun, and enjoyed the beautiful peace and quiet listening to bird song. There is tea and coffee and a kettle in your room. Also, a small fridge Mark is a great host, very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. And the full English breakfast was delicious, and I will definitely go again. I highly recommend this place
