How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The lift was broken, so I have to take the stairs up to 3rd floor with my luggage and had to stop at 2nd floor to catch my breath. The pool was small, I was expecting it a bit bigger as showed in the ad. And it was weekend so it's busy, so we decided not to take a plunge.
The room was spacious/ breakfast was excellent, lots of selection, coffee was great, the apple juice is really tasty, I keep filling up my glass. Bed was soft and nice to sleep on. The SPA treatment was great, my wife and I enjoyed it. The location is only 10 minutes walk to the beach, the area is surrounded with Restaurants and other activities that will keep your day busy. The Hotel car park charges £15 for 24 hours, but you can park in the side roads for FREE but NOT in the double yellow lines.

Lots of steps. Like a maze. Aware they can’t really change this. Pool clean, bit on the small size. Shame sauna was electric. Changing rooms very small and confusing.

climbing up hill from town as beach way was closed.
Room was a good size in a quiet part of the hotel. It had all the extra's that were mentioned when booking. Bathroom was excellent. Breakfast was popular but very nice and food plentiful. Swimming pool and sauna were working well and not at all busy for a half term.

We stayed with our two kids and on our extra night we had to take a room for three people as there was no availability for a four bed. To be honest the three bed room was comfy enough for four as our youngest slept in the big super king bed with us. When we moved to the four bed room I was surprised that there was no size difference (in fact I think think the four bed room was smaller!) and no bath (although shower was lovely). It was still a nice room but I don’t think the £40 extra per night was really justified for the one extra bed.
Short walk from town and the beach. We had two rooms over three nights (due to staying one night extra). Both rooms were good, comfortable beds, bath in one room and lovely shower in the next room. Pool is smaller than it appears in the pics but great for kids to splash around in. Sauna and steam room are small but nice. All the reception staff we met were friendly and super helpful. Only not commenting on the bar and other staff because we didn’t eat at the hotel and didn’t need our room cleaned.

Facilities was as expected but room was disappointing. As soon as you walked through the door the floor bounced and did so all the way to be bathroom. Once in the bathroom it was very compact as you would expect in a single room. It had a shower over the bath controlled by a hot and cold tap so getting temperature right was a challenge, not as much as getting in and out of the bath. As I stepped in there was nearly a nasty incident due to there being no anti slip mate in the bottom of the bath. For one night you could put up with it but for any longer I would of requested a different room.
Location was good for getting into town and to the beach but need to be quick to get a parking space.

It was quite possibly the smallest hotel room i've ever stayed in, the entrance door barely cleared the wardrobe! There was also no remote control for the TV, this wouldn't have bothered me too much but with the hotel informing me I.D. was needed on check-in in case of damage /loss etc. I had to make sure Reception were aware in case I was accused of taking it.
I had to do some online zoom meetings from the room and the wifi was fast and reliable. The room and bathroom were clean and plenty of tea / coffee making essentials.

Very noisy, creaky floors and we were located near some stairs so we could hear everyone. No shower gel etc in pump as it was empty and hadn’t been refilled. Stains on floor. Room was so hot even with air conditioning and the air conditioning was so loud. Could do with just a normal fan that you could sleep with on.
The pool/ sauna was small but delightful. The room was big, bathroom was good. Friendly staff.

Reception area looks so messy having towels and ro es piled on a desk. These are the items given to guests when they use the spa. It would look more professional if these were in a separate area to distribute to guests. I found myself just waiting for a robe whilst reception staff were busy checking in new guests!
