How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Located a few miles from central London, but very easy to catch a train from the nearby station :)
Our room and the adjacent bathroom were clean and supplied with all necessities. Overall very cosy and inviting :) We found the hosts very kind and hospitable, always making sure we had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. They were very helpful with figuring out what places we should see and how to get there using public transport, which was great as this was our first visit to London. The cute pets were an added bonus, we almost wished we could bring Harry the dog back home with us :) Overall a 10/10 experience :)

Spacious cosy room tastefully furnished with plenty of space for your clothes and suitcases. A station with a minibar filled with goodies such as water, sodas and chocolate next to a cattle to make a hot cup of brew anytime your heart desires. A big comfortable bed to give you the perfect rest after a busy day. The bathroom is a generous space (especially the bathtubs next to the shower) to pamper yourself. The hosts are welcoming, warm and very helpful. I highly recommend staying here and will do so again when I am back in the area.

Our stay was extremely pleasant. Brian and Sua are wonderful hosts, so kind and welcoming. The house is cozy, clean, and warm. The location is good, and the station is just 3 min walking distance. We unfortunately had to delay our check in and Brian was so understanding and welcomed us warmly. Highly recommend.

Nothing. This is a stunning 10 out of 10.
Everything. Brian and Sue are so welcoming. The bedroom is beautiful with a super comfortable bed, plenty of wardrobe space, luxurious bedding. Plenty of refreshments and a mini fridge filled with water, milk and chocolate biscuits. The ensuite is fabulous with separate stand alone bath and walk in shower. Beautiful soft towels and bathrobes supplied. This is a little gem with easy access to Central London. Added bonus of beautiful friendly dog Harry and the fluffiest cat ever Loopy. I will definitely be back.

Brian and Sue are extraordinary... with their infinite kindness and remarkable interpersonal skills! This trip to London was incredible thanks to the warm welcome from these hosts. You felt right at home when you got home, everything was perfect. Thanks again to Brian for his expert advice on the city. The train to central London is a 2-minute walk from the house. I'm sorry to say there are no negatives from me, everything was excellent, the only thing is the roads are very busy as peak times but that is London for you. There is a railway station which is a stone throw away which runs every 1/2 an hour and takes you straight into London if you don't want to drive. So again a big thumbs up.
Straight forward to find in a quiet location, lots of on street parking so again no hassle. The service by the hosts was excellent nothing could be too much trouble for them. The house was of an excellent standard, the room was very clean, the bed comfortable with a very nice bathroom. Full set up in the room tea, coffee, water, soft drinks and some chocolate snacks all thrown in. The room was warm and if I needed more heat had controls to turn on and off. Everything about the accommodation was 10 out of 10. The service, room, bathroom and the facilities. The best I have stayed at by a long shot. IT GAVE ME AN ABSOLUTE PLEASURE TO WRITE A REVIEW WHEN SOMETHING IS SO GOOD. I WILL DEFINATLEY BE BACK. Thanks hosts for making it a great stay.

Our stay couldn't be more perfect, since the check in to check out. Brian and Sue are amazing hosts, we felt like part of the family. The house is clean, warm and cozy. We really enjoyed our stay. I highly recommend.

Me and my partner were here for 2 nights and we felt welcomed and absolutely loved the hospitality. Our hosts were really great and even helped us out with great tips to explore London. Loopy and Harry were our added bonus hosts. I'd give then an 11/10.
