Spotlessly clean; Andie and Neil could not have been more welcoming or helpful. Breakfasts were amazing; Approximately 15min walk into town; The house was so well proportioned and beautifully laid out; the room had three aspects with some views. Huge bathroom with large basin and lovely shower. Garden was lovely to look out on and the hills behind. Warmth; No noise from the road but bird song in the morning. Lots to do in the area, whether walking or otherwise.

The breakfasts were incredible without a doubt the best I’ve experienced in a B&B or premium hotels. The attention to detail and the most comfortable bed. Spotlessly clean and delightful room and decor. Great selection of premium teas and coffees, fresh milk and homemade shortbread in my room each day. I can’t rate them highly enough and thoroughly recommend it!

    Nothing here to dislike.

Andie & Neil were fantastic hosts, very warm friendly & a really welcoming couple. When we arrived they gave us loads of advice about the local area, where best to visit, & best places to eat that helped us a lot. The property and its comfortable bedrooms were immaculately kept with complimentary refreshments including Andie's special freshly homemade cakes and biscuits, which are to die for! Breakfast was varied & amazingly delicious, made with fresh produce & super tasty. All-in-all, we had an excellent time and it has to be said, that our stay with Andie & Neil made our whole weekend a very special experience. We will without a doubt - be going back.

The only thing we disliked was having to leave.

We chose to stay at Grendon B&B for 2 nights due to the high scoring reviews it had previously received.   Based on our recent stay I can confirm they are credible and may even be understated.  The property has been lovingly restored and refurbished to an outstanding level of decoration and comfort. On arrival Andie and Neil met us and immediately sat down with us with a hot drink.  They welcomed us and were in no hurry to move us along.  The previous comments on home made cake and shortbread is true and for me the lemon drizzle cake was the winner and absolutely delicious.  We arrived on the hottest day of the year but that was taken care of with a cool shady room and bottled water in our fridge. Our small room was actually very large, as was the very comfortable bed.  The room facilities included tea, coffee, fresh milk, bottled water and home made shortbread.  Along with tv, hairdryer, straighteners, dressing gowns and slippers.  There is also free wifi, usb sockets and a digital radio. Breakfast was included and provided a full range of options that was cooked to perfection and also included a special, which for me was poached eggs, avocado with chilli flakes and feta cheese.  Probably the best breakfast I have ever had. I've stayed in a great variety of hotels, guest houses and b&b's over the years, both home and abroad, but this should be a six star establishment and fully deserves all the great reviews it has received.  Even before we arrived we were sent details of a range of pubs and restaurants so that we could book any meals we required. Our stay was enhanced by the cheerful, helpful and friendly attitudes of Andie and Neil and we thoroughly recommend them to anyone intending to stay in the area.  We certainly plan on a return visit very soon.

    There was nothing to dislike

Everything!! Andie & Neil were very welcoming and friendly with tea, cake and a chat on arrival was such a nice touch after a long journey. Attention to detail could be seen throughout the hotel. The hotel is spotlessly clean throughout. We were particularly impressed with the size of our room (Ladybower) which exceeded our expectations and the provision of a silent fridge with water and fresh milk (replenished daily) was much appreciated. Breakfast is superb the choice and quality of food cannot be underestimated, Neil cooks the hot food to your requirements nothing is too much trouble. Andie and Neil are knowledgeable about the area and most happy to share information on restaurants, pubs, events and areas of interest. The location is close The Opera House and numerous pubs and eateries in Buxton which was a steady 20 minute walk away. If you are looking for comfort, quality and friendly hosts look no further, we would highly recommend The Grendon and would definitely stay here again if we were back in the area. Thank you guys for such a lovely stay C&D

The hospitality from Andie and Neil was excellent, we were met at the door and then invited into the dining room where we were provided with tea and home-made cake. During this period, we were provided with essential instructions for our stay at the Grendon. We were then shown to our room, provided with details of what was available within and how to operate the TV etc. The room was far more than we expected, tastefully decorated and the overall appearance and cleanliness was outstanding. On attending breakfast, we were again greeted shown to our table, the breakfast was exceptional with the meat products being sourced from a local butcher and it is a long time since I have seen eggs so fresh.
