We booked Cosy Double rooms and they were definitely cosy but one of the rooms was for single occupancy and this was therefore a ‘basic’ room which, whilst on the first floor, had no window. I think this should have been highlighted this was the case as the occupant planned to spend the afternoon at the hotel and there was no public lounge area to sit in.

The hotel was in an excellent position for the centre of Bath. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

Room was located in a semi basement which meant that we couldn't open a window. Shower screen felt worryingly flimsy.

My room wasn't made up after the first night and there was a dirty coffee cup in my room.

Only fault for us was the air con didn’t work and on one of the hottest days of the year so far we didn’t have the most comfortable nights sleep.

The staff were very attentive. Upon booking it asked for special requests to which I informed it was my partner’s birthday hence the trip away - we were greeted with a glass of Prosecco (orange juice for me due to being pregnant!) and a little cake in the room for him. They also changed our room off their own backs from 3rd floor to ground floor due to me being heavily pregnant. Very kind and appreciated touches.

My room was in a separate building down the road from the reception and restaurant , which I did not expect. I think that should be made clear on booking. No Aircon in my room, though rooms in the main building had it.

The room was clean and comfy, could have been slightly bigger but again, you get what you pay for so I cannot fault them for the room size. I chose to book that. I was happy with my choice.

Value for money - you get what you pay for, a great option for a budget overnight stay in a brilliant location, close to central Bath sights and everything is in easy reach by walk.

The kettle didn’t work in our room which was annoying to say the least. We managed to get our son to boil a kettle of water for us on the first evening but I didn’t want to disturb them early in the morning. No cups of tea for me in the morning 😥 boo hoo I just hope they replace it for the next

The standard of cleaning was not the best. Smell of damp in the room. The soap dispensers in the bathroom were caked in old soap, particularly underneath, they had not been cleaned for quite a while. The room was dusty. No chair to sit on in the room. Basic hanging space... a few hangers on a coat hanger, for clothes. Bed was lop sided. Room and bathroom cold, heating did not come on the entire time. Acceptable: just, for the cost, but room for huge improvement and attention to detail. Bathroom needed upgrade. Noisy during the night, some guests were inconsiderate and? early morning staff let doors bang behind them, but not sure who it was. Overall, disappointed sadly.

The en suite although functional was extremely small. The main light switch wouldn't allow you to turn on just the en suite light at night, all the lights came on.
