Unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations. There was no elevator - we encountered inconvenience as we had to carry our bags and baby pram to the second floor where our room was located. no 'Do Not Disturb' sign left in the room, and the staff attempted to enter our room without knocking or ringing the bell. Additionally, despite selecting and paying for a queen-size bed, we were given a room with a double bed. when I called the reception regarding the bed issue, they informed me that this was the only option available. Furthermore, during check-in, there was difficulty locating our booking initially, resulting in a 20-25 minute wait for rebooking.

The lack of clear maintenance It’s a 4 star hotel so expected it would be looking more fresh, not modern per day but not run down, carpets not nice, pillows uncomfortable. Skirting boards dirty. Showers run down. Dusty items in rooms and could go on

Reception was nice and big and spaces around were bright

The room was very cold. I put the heater on but the room did not get warm. The switch on the heater was loose and I did not feel comfortable leaving the heater on all night because of this. I was so cold I did not sleep well. Also, the shower head was so high up I was unable to move it. The water went everywhere except on me. It took a few minutes for the water to get hot. I was in a hurry to leave due to an appointment and did not have time to report the above issues. Room 219. I think this hotel looks a bit tired and in need of a refresh. On other matters. When I arrived I was asked to pay for breakfast. I booked through booking.com and the booking included breakfast. The receptionist said she was unable to see this on her system. I had to log onto booking.com and screen shot the available rooms at the same price including breakfast. Had they all been booked up I would not have had any proof as booking.com did not include this either in their receipt. I paid £12 for breakfast but the receptionist said she would refund this. I haven't received it yet but I expect it will take a few days. Also on booking.com, there is no mention of parking at £7.

The room was spacious, clean and had a comfortable bed, desk and sofa. The bathroom was also clean and had a bath. All the staff were extremely helpful and polite.

The rat outside the hotel. The food that was being served in the hotel dining room that evening, as it was very limited and when I asked about if there was a bar menu I was told there wasn't one for me only to see later other customers ordering off a bar menu.

The staff were lovely but there were not many of them doing many jobs. For a group of us there was one bar person at the Langton and no one seemed to be at the main bar. Also on check in money was taken for breakfast and again at check out?

    It was all very comfortable.

Our room had not been cleaned to a standard I felt acceptable - a used plaster on the floor and dirt in bathroom. The whole hotel could do with some modernising, was very dated and looked tired. Evening meal wasn't to a standard I'd have hoped

The pool and spa facilities were great. Staff were all lovely and helpful. Breakfast was good.

Starbucks in the hotel was quite poor - cold unmixed hot chocolate. Mildly warm latte. Expensive food. Hotel is a bit tired. Very clean but it feels a bit stuck in the 90's

After paying £300 was shocked to find out we had to pay for parking. Room was set up for 2 people rather than 3 that we booked for.

The food was great but the hotel was tired looking. Booked for 3 but when we got to the room , the towels and glasses were for 2 people.

Hotel needs a little refurbishment as some of the rooms, hallway could do with a spruce up - one of the doors in the hallway glass was smashed, bathroom bit tired and dated. The food in the hotel restaurant far exceeded our expectations bar the veggie bowl which was a bit lacklustre. We had originally planned to eat out but we’re glad we stopped in. All the staff in the hotel were super friendly and very helpful.
