Absolutely stunning property with beautiful, spacious room. Facilities were perfect. Everything about the layout of the room had been well thought through. Staff were wonderful and attentive.

I would have expected a mini fridge in the room, as well as complimentary slippers to add to the comfort.

room very clean and spacious, with good attention to details. Location very good as it was 15 mins walk form both train station and city centre. Being away from the centre gave extra quietness, which is ideal for relaxation.

A well located Hotel just outside of the walls of York and well located for both the city and the racecourse. The property was stylish, spotlessly clean and well served by its staff who were friendly and helpful. On site car-parking (at an additional cost) was a bonus especially since there is a car charger available too. All in all a super stay. Thank you

Great hotel in a great location. Bedroom was lovely and the bed was so comfy, we both had an amazing sleep. Very clean, and the bathroom was beautiful with a large bath and separate shower. Very good value for money. Will definitely be staying here again.

The only thing was that the bathroom was quite small and there were a couple issues such as the Internet disconnecting and the shower not draining properly. However, reception addresses as soon as possible..

it was a very clean and stylish room, located in quaint and quiet part of York. The bed was super comfortable and had plenty of tea and coffee provided in the room as well as fresh water provided by reception. checking in was a super easy process as well.

In shower stall no shelf for toiletries etc. We found the basin a little on the small side.

The room was at the rop of the hotel and heat rises, so our room was a little warm for our personal lliking.

New Holgate was extremely clean, the staff were all warm and friendly. Our room was light, airy, spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The cooked breakfast was perfect with quality ingredients. We will definitely stay again.

We had a fantastic 2 night stay at New Holgate. They kindly upgraded our room so we were staying in a beautiful comfortable suite. We had breakfast one morning and the food was delicious. Staff were all so friendly and accommodating. Location is walking distance from the city centre and the area is nice and quite. Would highly recommend!

Can’t fault it! The location is a bit outside the city centre, but it’s very worth it to stay somewhere so lovely and not be at a commercial hotel.

Lovely little inn, very cosy and beautifully decorated. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and were very helpful.

The pressure on the shower wasn't the best. Fifteen pound a day for parking.

Absolutely fantastic hotel in York! Excellent location which is close to the station. The rooms are immaculate with beautiful interior design - they are spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic and the portions were incredibly generous (with ingredients locally sourced and supporting local businesses). We would not hesitate to recommend New Holgate to anyone visiting York. The team were very welcoming and looked after us so well, thank you!!
