What a gem! The beds were incredibly comfy, the towels and linens superb and everywhere spotlessly clean. Lots of really thoughtful touches. Breakfast was fabulous too. Thoroughly recommend - thank you

Up 2 flights of stairs but not really a problem

Very friendly and helpful host. Lovely, comfortable, clean room with lot's of extras - fruit, dressing gowns, toiletries. In great location, only 10 mins walk to lovely town. Plenty of interest + shops, bars & restaurants. Didn't realise hotel was vegetarian only when booked but not an issue. Loads of great breakfast choices & all food was fresh & tasty

Fabulous B&B run by a lovely couple and their family. So clean and well maintained. Great attention to guests. Helpful and caring attitude. Freshly cooked breakfasts. Fresh fruit etc. very generous portions!

Though not really needed the TV reception was very poor.

Location was great being about 10 mins walk into Buxton centre. Room was a good size, comfortable bed and there was a huge choice for breakfast (which was almost wholly vegetarian other than eggs and milk) and which came in very large helpings.

For breakfast there was a fantastic selection to choose from. Too much to list here, but there was different types of bread, a selection of fruits, yoghurt, muesli, porridge, to a full cooked breakfast. Which to be honest was awesome. I don't think I've had a better breakfast in a hotel, ever. There was so much choice. We stopped in room 4 which is decorated tastefully, and has an extremely comfortable 4 poster bed. Also there was enough space for all our motorbike clothing and luggage. Another plus was the fruit, tea, coffee and snacks plus, a mini fridge with still & fizzy Buxton water. The owner was also fantastic, making you feel very welcome. From giving you all the info about the breakfasts, and your room etc, to which local pubs and restaurants to visit. We really couldn't fault the place.

Would have preferred a key to get back into the property at night instead of feeling we were keeping to owner awake to stay up for us 😃

Just a personal preference. Mattress was a bit too firm.

Breakfast options were amazing. Everything anyone could ask for. Servings were plentiful and everything beautifully cooked and served. Very clean and comfortable. It was good to have a fridge in the room with complimentary bottles of water and also bowl of fruit. Hosts were very friendly and helpful and informative. Would stay again.

Beautiful place, amazing host, nothing too much trouble and extremely clean. The added extras were a lovely touch. The bed was so comfortable. The breakfast was amazing and big portions. We would highly recommend and will be visiting again.

Loved our time at Kingscroft, couldn't fault it one bit. Fabulous host ,beautiful comfortable room and an amazing breakfast. Short walk from all Buxton has to offer. Try it for yourself you won't be disappointed. Hope to be back soon.

It was our second visit to Kingscroft. Wol as usual made us feel very welcome and let us check in earlier as we were going out tff hi at evening. Breakfast was amazing as usual. Will definitely return again when we next have a trip to Buxton.

Check in time of 5 for an overnight stay isn’t great as you only have time to drop your bags and rush out. Wol did move this to 4 for us which was nice of him.

It was traditional with a quirky vibe and modern touches. No detail was missed, from pillow mist to body wash. Breakfast was very flexible and inclusive of dietary requirements.
