Our room was small. Barely or no WiFi. Large potholes in drive.

Beautiful location and building. Staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful. The shower was great.

The shower room was too tight when sitting on the toilet; our faces were right up against the door, so we would not want to stay in this room again. Unfortunately, the make shift table in the dining room was very rickety and our drinks spill everywhere. It wobbled with every movement we made. The other camp style tables were fine. The reason offered for our table was that there was an overlap with an additional carpet. But the whole table felt very unstable, so it couldn't have been the whole reason for this.

We loved the building and its location. We stayed in the Birch room, which is a good size. It has a very big, comfortable bed. The staff are always welcoming and helpful.

    Nothing.

Beautiful surroundings, we used the warm and brilliantly arranged swimming pool and enjoyed the lovely, relaxed feel.

Shower in our room was poor. Shower screen totally inadequate to prevent flooding if shower was used normally. Cooked breakfast on first day was “disappointing”. It looked very insipid, tasted fine but did not inspire us to have again, which we didn’t. Access to room was via a very steep set of stairs. Potentially a problem for anyone with mobility issues.

Friendly staff, lovely quiet location but close to transport links. Ample parking.

There was no electricity socket near the kettle so had to plug it in to the adaptor which had the bedside lamp plugged into. This is not a complaint, just information for any one booking!

We had a very good night's sleep. The bed was really comfortable, the room was very clean and cosy. Breakfast was good with cereal, fruit, croissants, ham, cheese, toast etc. followed by a freshly cooked full English with no hash browns - just the way it used to be which is in perfect keeping with this lovely old house.

This is an old property so rooms not very sound proofed, and try and avoid switching the light on in the bathroom as the noisy extractor fan seemed to go on forever!

Very clean and comfortable room, and a lovely breakfast with great hosts.

Third floor for twin bedded rooms which we did not realise until our arrival. Steep staircase to the room. Rooms on the first floor were very nicely decorated compared to the twin, which was clean and comfortable but basically decorated.

The locations was good, easy to find. Clean room. Great breakfast. Friendly helpful staff.

There was nothing majorly wrong, but there were minor things that may make me rethink booking again. While being in the middle of farm land, insects are going to be about, however I had quite a few lady bugs and a spider in my room. There was a tea and coffee tray in the room - you have to put the kettle on the night stand (Make sure you move the lamp). Run the water for a bit before putting it in the kettle! The walls are thin, I had to turn the TV on so I wouldn't overhear the conversation happening in the next room. The WIFI did not work for me until the final morning and signal is terrible (but signal is terrible throughout the area). It also wasn't quite clear where all you could go on the grounds.

The grounds were really nice. There were some good spots for relaxation and meditation. The flowers were blooming and it was very peaceful. The staff that greeted me and showed me to my room was SUPER nice! Breakfast was good and on time. The bed was comfortable, but not anything to write home about. The room I was in was the smallest (which I was expecting) and was very reasonably priced!

Shower in our room, Willow, was very stiff and difficult to turn off. There was an extension lead that wasn't working in the room. Room would have benefitted with a small fridge and curtesy dressing gowns. Also think the hotel is missing a trick by not offering option of evening meals. This would be an asset, even if only offering a small menu.

Lovely hotel, off the beaten track so nicely tucked away. Great staff especially Katrina (who was fabulous inspite of her broken ankle) and Tracey who was so lovely. We had a warm greeting from start to end. A great breakfast each day and absolute value for money stay. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you.

    Nothing.

Interesting historic property with good sized rooms. An eclectic mix of furnishings added to the character. The breakfast was excellent and vegetarian options were available. The staff were friendly and there were no issues with cleanliness. Located close to the road network but tucked away down a lane the setting was lovely. I would be happy to return and did, in fact, end up staying an additional night. Excellent value.
