Small thing was that there wasn't plug for bathroom sink and bedside light didn't work but other than those things no complaints.

My sister and me have just had a lovely 2 night stay at The Mount Stuart hotel. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and had comfy beds. Great location as near to restaurants and beach.

Room was clean but very tired looking. Headboard all taped up and throw looked like it had seen better days. A bit cold in the room and breakfast room but overall this was offset by the cost.

Great location and fab breakfast, shower was good as well.

Very squeaky metal bed in room 7. Each time we moved in the night, it squeaked. We mentioned to the owner so maybe he will tighten the joints?

Good location just a few minutes walk to the beach and town centre. Very clean. Good cooked breakfast. Coffe/tea making facilities in room.

Pigeons in the roof were very noisy, sounded as if they were in the ceiling. Bed needed tightening as this was very loud when moving around. Shower was very loud, and sounded like was going to explode, it sounded dangerous. Towel heater didn't work.

Breakfast was perfect!! Hotel is stay in center city and f.e. pier or shops are only 7 min. by walk.

When we arrived it was in darkness, so we walked into a town. Rung them a few times, no answer, and we did start to panic a bit. However I got a call back and the member of staff apologised and we walked back. After the reviews we read beforehand we were really worried but I can honestly say it was clean, rooms clean, no mould and the staff were fab. The only complaint I had is that it was cold, cold in the room and freezing cold when we went down for breakfast. They did apologise for this. Breakfast was ok. Would stay again if staying in Bournemouth.

Stayed on the 15th Dec.. Great location, a short walk to town centre. Friendly lovely staff. Our room was no 19, was a very warm and clean room, a comfortable bed, loads of free coffee, tea, hot chocolate and little pots of milk in our room.. Breakfast was from 9am to 10pm.. lovely cooked breakfast, and especially on hot plates, which I love.. a sigh of a good chef.. thank-you.. a great getaway to see Bournemouth Christmas Market..

There was paint missing from walls (perhaps vandalism?), leather bedhead was torn/ripped. The room needed a bit of TLC and a deep clean but fine for an overnight stay.

Location is good and staff were really helpful and friendly. I had to leave before breakfast, which starts at 9am, so the staff sorted me out with a bacon sandwich to take with me when I left.

Paid for 2 nights parking but could only park for the first night. Dirty stair carpet. Scampering heard in the eves. Shower very slow and riser loose.

It was cold. The parking was inadequate and they took cash for 2 nights parking but upon return in the evening we could not park and had to pay a further £11to park overnight away from the hotel.

The shower was good . The bed was comfortable, but the headboard was badly taped up. One pillow was not clean. We replaced it from the spare bed. Despite telling them when we were arriving, no one answered the door until we phoned our friend who had already arrived and told us they weren't happy with the lack of heating, stating the manager had out right lied to their faces that all they had to do was turn a switch on. The manager was not at all apologetic that there was no heating in November but did provide a portable single oil filled radiator . The rest of the building was cold, including the breakfast room. The tea / coffee was poorly stocked with no biscuits, not enough milk, and when we asked for it to be restocked on the 2nd evening of our stay he replied "you wouldn't get this at the Hilton." May be his warped sense of humour, but we were not amused. Our friend asked for a vegetarian breakfast, but they were out of vegetarian sausage.( They still didn't have any on the 2nd morning of our stay) The rest of the breakfast was very acceptable. The young staff were very helpful and their service was polite and cheerful. We accept it's a cheaper 2-star hotel, but it could have been cleaner and should have been heated in November. The lack of heating put us off trying the hot tub as this was outside in the garden away from the main building and involved crossing the car park.
