What a lovely place to stay! We received a very friendly welcome, with lots of advice for our stay - we know the area pretty well, but for any first time visitors, lots of useful info. The room was absolutely delightful, really cosy with everything you could possibly need & an exceptional tea selection! Beautiful bathroom with a lovely selection of toiletries & towels. Really delicious breakfast, with lots of choices. Easy to park on the street outside too.

Extremely comfortable - we stayed in the loft room - like home from home really spacious - wonderful for us but wouldn’t suit people with limited mobility as it is as it names suggests at the top of the house - we loved it

Nothing was a problem

The owners are very welcoming, the room and house, for that matter, had a warm friendly atmosphere. Breakfast was wonderful, trad English and plenty of fruit yogurts etc. Location to city centre was excellent and we were helped to find the taxi service. This Air B&B has extremely high standards, for travellers like my wife and I, there were no puzzled looks at each other, we both agreed, certainly in our top 5 stays and we stay out a lot.

Nothing could have been improved as the only downside was the location. Although a short taxi ride or drive into town, so this wasn't an issue.

We were welcomed at the door by the hosts who were very friendly. Our room was bigger than expected with a fantastic array of coffee and tea facilities in the room. The bed was comfy and a large tv with netflix and amazon prime. The breakfast was delicious and we were provided with a dining table full of continental breakfast items.

Sidney Grove guest house and hosts were excellent. There was nothing to dislike. The only thing I would say is, if you aren't good on your feet I could see the stairs to the attic room being an issue. It wasn't for us though.

The size, cleanliness, hospitality tray and style of the en suite room plus the breakfast choice and quality of presentation was excellent. Beautiful room, comfy bed and excellent selection of toiletries too.

This isn't a dislike - just a minor point - the signal for BBC iplayer was poor however this may have been the BBC's fault and not the property's. It did not detract from my enjoyment.

I had a wonderful stay! The hosts, Avril and Angus, were friendly and welcoming and the room spacious, clean and very well equipped. The breakfast was something else - so much to choose from both hot and cold - the full English kept me going all day! Thank you - I'll definitely be back.

Thank you so much for a wonderful overnight stay. Avril and Angus were so attentive, the room was absolutely beautiful and the attention to detail was perfect. We loved the choice of shampoos and shower gels and the vast array of snacks and drinks . The bed and pillows were so comfortable too meaning we had a great nights sleep and the amazing breakfast set us on our way for the day for my daughter's graduation day . Just perfect !!

I couldn’t really fault the experience

We were cordially greeted by Angus, who was very knowledgable about the best places to visit and eat. We were asked what we would like for breakfast and at what time and there was a generous offering in the room of everything from a selection of teas, coffees and snacks. An ethically sourced selection of toiletries were on hand in the clean and modern en-suite accommodation. As a real bonus too the bed and soft furnishings were extremely comfortable and there was a fab choice of music and tv stations available. We were not rushed at any time as check out was a generous 11 am. So the experience was relaxing and the hosts delightful. Definitely recommended.

Unfortunately the duvet was too thick and warm (even with all the windows open) so our sleep wasn't the best. The TV didn't seem to have a wifi signal (or aerial) so we couldn't pick up any stations.

47 Sidney Grove is a lovely house with wonderful floorboards throughout. Our room at the top of the house was enormous and had its own en-suite. The room was very tastefully decorated with quirky colours and designs everywhere. Lots of provisions were provided with a great range of beverages, snacks and fruit. Breakfast was also plentiful with lots of choice, Our cooked breakfast prepared by Angus set us up very well for the day ahead. The house is in a great location with the centre of Newcastle only a 15-20 minute walk away.

If I had to be picky I would say the pillows on the bed were too soft - I like a firmer pillow

Full English breakfast was delicious with plenty on the plate. Fresh fruit salad as well as cereal, yoghurt and toast on offer as well if fancied although after a real plateful of the full English there really wasn't room!! Various flavoured teas along with the tradtionals, coffee and hot chocolate biscuits and fruit in the room. Good range of environmentally friendly shampoos and shower gels in the surprisingly large en-suite. We were in the loft room, it was spacious and nicely decorated. Bed was very comfortable We were made most welcome by a lovely host. Situated in a quiet area of the town just off the main A186, so easily found. Plenty buses nearby into the town. Within walking distance - 20mins downhill -of the Arena.

We stayed in the loft room and it was perfect with so many little extras. The room and bathroom were immaculate and I can't fault it at all. The only difficulty I had was deciding which of the selection of CDs I wanted to listen to! Avril & Angus are lovely hosts. Breakfast was delicious with a great choice. I slept like a log and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

There is nothing we didn't like, the only thing I could say would be for there to be a mirror in a place where you can get ready.. but that's not going to bother everyone!.

The room was gorgeous, homely, and spotless.. everything you could possibly need was there in the room for you.. if I went again I wouldn't need to pack half the stuff I did!.. The breakfast on the morning was fantastic and so much to choose from! Avril was very welcoming and we felt at ease as soon as we got there. The location is really good as well, not far from the city centre or arena.. I couldn't recommend this place enough 😊

An absolutely beautiful place to stay. The room we had was perfect with so much attention to detail. One of the most comfortable beds I've ever sleep in. Breakfast was gorgeous, so much food. Absolutely delicious. Avril and Angus are the perfect hosts.
