The ensuite would be difficult to use for people larger than us. As the dining room is very busy, catering for guests, locals and walkers, we noted that breakfast service was good for some that arrived after us. We were slow to be served and did not get as personal service as others were getting, despite our overall friendly nature, so were disappointed.

The Family Tree is in a beautiful situation. We witness that the owner allows a local ladies' choir to rehearse there for an hour or so on Tuesday evenings, an important and excellent facility for the community. We applaud this. Our bedroom was absolutely fine for our visit and the dining room was excellent. Due to the traffic, we were late to arrive. Our host was fine about this, so all was well.

Extractor fan in bathroom turned off on timer but ran noisily for what seemed ages. Annoying particularly at night.

There is nothing to dislike about The Family Tree.

The location is perfect to visit other areas having lots of beautiful areas close. Breakfast was amazing, plenty of choice and all components being of a very high standard. Superb.

Honey was provided on the side our vegan breakfast which isn't vegan however, as it was on the side in a separate dish there was no problem!

Wonderful bnb with an extremely comfortable bed and the vegan breakfast options were delicious and varied. We wouldn't hesitate to stay at The Family Tree again if we were in the area!

Looking a bit tired on the outside at the front. Car park sign has died. Carpet in Oak room is quite dirty. Door to oak bathroom sticks to the floor. Door to the room is awkward to lock. The fire exit light 😎

The restaurant closed at 4pm on Saturday. Judging by how busy the place was when we arrived, the food is good!

Our stay at The Family Tree was perfect. The bed was so comfortable and the room and the bathroom were spotlessly clean. There were so many lovely touches, like the bubble bath and cotton wool in the bathroom, and the wooden folder of information about the accommodation and local facilities. The staff were pleasant and efficient, a reflection of the good training and treatment they receive from the owners, I'm sure. The breakfast was another highlight. The selection, presentation and quality was one of the best we've ever had. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend it and we intend to go back ourselves.
