We just feel that the outside of the building needs some TLC

Location was great for us & it’s nice to revisit a place where I hadn’t been since childhood. Would also like to add that the reception staff were excellent, very accommodating and felt like they couldn’t do enough for you!

It's picky, I know, but I'm trying really hard to think of something: The scrambled eggs at breakfast didn't taste of anything. Not even eggs. That was a bit weird.

The staff were great, the location is perfect, the room was all clean and everything in it worked.

Shower had no power to it, and no hot water when we got up at 7 o’clock. Only warm water later at 7:30. Hotel itself needs a refurbishment. It’s a bit tired looking. But don’t let that put you off, it has a very friendly atmosphere with great staff.

Breakfast was very good, buffet style. Fried or boiled eggs on request, sausages, bacon, fried tomatoes, baked beans, cereals and fruit. Couldn’t complain. The staff were excellent and went that extra mile to be accommodating. Great location and a nice veranda and beer garden on the sea front.

Facilities to eat when you have a dog where not very cosy. But then, when traveling with a dog, you can't be choosy.

It is an old hotel with lots of character. We were welcomed by a super friendly man at the reception who was very helpfull. The room was exactly as advertised. Good value for money with a beautiful garden. Would book again.

Someone with mobility issues might have struggled to use the shower as it was combined with the bath, but we were happy with it. Bed was a little firm but we both slept well.

Brilliant location with lovely views to wake up to. Nice to have a little balcony, and the seating area in the garden outside the bar would have been a lovely place to spend time relaxing had it been better weather. Room was medium sized, bathroom quite small but it did have a bath with plenty of hot water. Nice breakfast served in a very grand room. Didn't have dinner as it was quite a limited menu but if it had been pouring with rain we might have stayed in.

Mattress was awful, partner and I felt like we were constantly rolling out of opposite sides of the bed.

No USB points for phones etc. Hotel had an unusual smell when we first arrived. After a few days didn't notice it.

Breakfast was OK. Hotel was clean but a little tired. Could do with some .modernising. View from balcony was lovely.

Not much to say here, altho I would have liked better/brighter lighting in my bathroom which felt a little gloomy, and the exterior of the hotel looked a bit tired in places. However I still plan to return, with a friend, in the summer.

A charming hotel, with a big car park, in a great location on the sea front and also only a short walk from the town centre shops and cafes. Outside seating areas to enjoy the good weather and a G&T from the bar. Very courteous and helpful staff throughout made for a relaxing atmosphere and I was happy with my comfortable room (booked with a lovely sea view) and bed. Enjoyed the breakfast.

TV far too small for this day and age. Shower / water pressure far too low you could hardly feel it on your skin.

The location is absolutely fabulous. Breakfast is also great buffet style and the chef kept everything topped up. Our room was comfortable with great view !

Parts of the hotel seemed a little dated, though my room was lovely and not so. I didn’t use the bar or restaurant so can’t comment on that.
