Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomOnly when you opened the bathroom door you had to be careful that you didn’t bumped your head on the wall ahead, which I did! Very steep stairs to bedroom you wouldn’t be able to climb these if disabled
Lovely boutique type of hotel/pub quirky room decor and quite spacious room for a pub. Welcoming and clean and cosy

Lovely welcome, bonus to be able to get keys to room and drop luggage off early on before check in so we could go off for the day. Lovely individually decorated rooms, everything you need, spotlessly clean and comfortable. For breakfast there was good range on offer and hot food available and is discounted from main menu if you wanted it. All staff very friendly and helpful. Great location being 5 mins walk to Oxford Road tube. Would definitely stay again.

United KingdomThe stairs to the bedrooms are quite steep, but that maybe reflects that we are in our 60's, and they are in keeping with the style and age of the building - but once getting to our room, it was so worth it!
We had a very lovely and comfortable stay, and were delighted by the standard of our room. Being near to Oxford Road and many central London sites, this was a wonderful location. We were near to some great restaurants too, with such a wide choice. The staff were so welcoming on arrival and friendly throughout our stay. The pub is a great place to drink and very popular, but this in no way caused any unwanted noise or disturbed our night's sleep. It offers something so different and relaxing in comparison to the big chain hotels. The rooms are beautifully decorated and furnished, offering a quirky and luxurious ambience. The continental breakfast included was a buffet of fresh and healthy options, and was all we needed for the start of our day. We are so glad we have found this unique and lovely treasure, and can't imagine staying anywhere else in the future.

United KingdomI hit my head in the bathroom (room 4) (I'm only 5'11) but this has to be accepted as the building layout is part of the charm. No double glazing so with sub-zero temps in Dec we really appreciated the thick curtains. The air con is necessary to keep the room warm.
Breakfast was continental style and there was plenty of choice. Good welcome from the team, all friendly and helpful. Very cosy pub even for a city it had a welcome and 'local' feel to it. Loved the quirky rooms, clean and tidy. Great location for exploring London and will book again as long as the prices don't inflate further.

JerseyNothing. We had a great stay!
The location was superb. 5 minutes from Oxford street but so quiet with little restaurants and pubs on the doorstep. Felt a million miles from the throng of people in central London! Very comfortable bed. Quirky decor. Lovely shampoo and shower gels provided. The pub itself is small and friendly. Lovely breakfast. We were also able to leave our luggage before check in and after check out, meaning we could explore London without cumbersome bags.

United StatesWhile I understand why there isn't one, not having a lift made it a little rough bringing up our luggage.
The room was so chic! Everything about how this hotel looked was so charming and cozy. After a long day of walking around, the bed was absolutely fantastic - I think I slept the best the night I stayed here than I did any other night of my long trip in the UK. Lastly, the location was great.

United KingdomI did not read the small print which says that contrary to B.com description, this room does not have an extra large bed, it's just large (i.e. in UK sizes, it's kingsize not superking). This was a major issue for us and apparently the owners cannot change it on b.com as it will wipe all their bookings!! This really needs resolving as I entirely rely on the b.com description.
We had a great stay at the Kings Arms. The staff were wonderful, there was a great ambiance in the pub, the breakfast was delicious (and had gluten free bread), nice room and excellent shower.

NetherlandsIt was a Friday night so the noise level on the streets and in the pub went on for longer than probably other days. I expect a higher room might've been quieter though. But overall fantastic.
Really lovely location, central to the shopping areas but also far enough to not be overrun by the crowds. Really warm staff and very helpful and accommodating. The room had so much character and things were in great condition as opposed to some other places I stayed at in London. The curtains were able to fully block out the light in the morning giving me a very peaceful sleep.

United KingdomI can't think of anything.
The location was perfect for walking into the W End, Soho, Covent Garden etc - but also amazingly quiet with no traffic noise so great for a good night's sleep. Our room was lovely with a big comfy bed and the breakfast was great but best of all were the staff who went out of their way to look after us, chat and make us welcome - especially Terri and Steven.

United KingdomThe only thing I did not like was the rumbling noise of the mini fridge but I solved that by switching it off. It did not affect my stay.
The Kings Arms was 5 minutes walk from Oxford Street and 5 minutes walk from Goodge Street Underground. You could not wish for a quieter area to stay, in the centre of London. This beautiful building houses an authentic pub on the ground floor with ever so friendly staff and a management team, who are keen to ensure your stay is a wonderful experience. Upstairs, there are 5 rooms of varying sizes, all decorated to unique high standards. They are all different in style but all beautiful. I stayed in room 2 on the first floor. The bedroom was snug and the bathroom was huge. I loved its decor. The bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I've slept in. The black out curtains and the quiet street afforded be amazing restful sleep every night. The shower is usually the make or break in accommodation for me. My dhowe did not disappoint. I could regulate it to a heat that suited me (hot) and the force was perfect, definitely not a dribbler where you're running around trying to get wet. I was drenched. I loved the choice of static overhead or detachable hand-held roses. Continental breakfast is included in the cost of the room (which was goid and satisfying). You can pay for a full English if you like. This is a gem of a find and I would highly recommend staying here. Thank you Terri and the rest of the team for helping make my stay enjoyable.
