Limited dinner menu. Unfortunately fish and chips were overcooked (inedible). However staff delat with it appropriately and deleted it off the bill.

Comfortable spacious room. Very dog friendly. Nice cooked breakfast. Spacious bar area.

Somethings are getting a little tired, but I’ve been informed the property has actually been sold and will be doing upgrades soon, which will make all the difference.

The setting is lovely , we stayed in one of the cottages which are very quaint. They are quite roomy.

The room is small. Very uncomfortable pillows. Breakfast is served only from 08.30 until 09.30, the service is slow, and food is not very tasty. Bugs in the room.

    Located in a calm village.

The bathroom was quite small, but that's logical considering the awkward layout of such an old building, which also gives it its charm. A towel rail or hook would have been practical though. These are details, our stay was wonderful. We would recommend and come back for sure!

Very charming inn in an equally charming cotswolds village. Very quiet apart from plenty of birds singing and not as touristy as some other places. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Best part was probably the beautiful food (cooked breakfast and dining). Lovely garden at the back and very dog friendly.

The negative points. Sourdough bread incorrectly advertised on the menu. To be fair this was changed the very next day. Consumables in room not replaced. Room 11 not very well soundproofed. This is a lovely country pub in a quiet area but was spoiled by noisy children at breakfast playing loud computer games. Not the venues fault but perhaps they might at least have asked for the games to be on silent. The staff were very accommodating but not particularly friendly.

The positive things were a very good breakfast including full english with veggie option. The room tho small was well appointed with a particularly good shower.

Unfortunately the room we opted for, which was one of the cheaper options as it was only a one night stay, had no hot water. We were informed that the plumber had been in earlier, due to a boiler problem. The lack of hot water for showering was obviously an inconvenience. Before going out that evening a quick chat with staff said if they couldn't resolve the water issue, they would put us in another room. When we returned just after 10:30pm the premises were in darkness and there was no staff about, so we went up to the room, no hot water. Unfortunately they had left a note down in reception which was in darkness, about the room we could move to, but we didn't actually see it. So obviously we would have suggested leaving a note in the room. But they did try to resolve the problem.

We only opted for breakfast during our stay. The products were to a high standard and obviously sourced with some thought to quality. (Stornaway black blackpudding)

There was no-one there when we arrived. There was no signage to say it doesn’t open until 2pm. It was a bit shabby, looking as if it had closed down - gave a poor first impression.

The old style and the quaintness. It had a good choice of food.

Some odd drainage smells outside, noisy if wrong windows open due to boilers/fans right outside window. Previous occupants dirty underwear in drawer. Cold shower for two out of three days. Very dusty behind bedside tables. Toilet seat loose. Cobwebby around fireplace.

Space in the room, tasteful decor, easy access to garden and bar area. Huge comfy bed, clean linen and towels. Breakfast was really good and evening meals were outstanding. Bar staff, and staff waiting on tables very helpful and friendly.

Unfortunately, while we were staying the weather was very cold. We had a room in the stables but we couldn't get the heating to work in the bathroom, so taking showers was more invigorating than desired. The breakfast was fine, but not really as generous as you'd hope for in a country pub.

The location is wonderful, exactly what you'd want for a short trip to the Cotswolds. The staff were also good.

The location of the room meant we didn't have the best view but didn't spend too much time in the room during daylight hours. There were a couple of areas where cleanliness could have been better - a spillage of coffee on the drawer unit that had also fallen on to the floor (this seemed to have been cleaned after the first night of our stay) and there was some scum on the shower cable.

We had a meal on our first night and it was exceptional! The quality of the cooked breakfast was also very good. The location of the Inn makes it very quiet and peaceful.
