The room was booked as a double, it was very small, had a double bed but made up as a single so needed to ask for additional towels, cups, tea etc. Room too hot so needed fan on all night, but good one was suppled. Good that the window also opened wide. Didn't feel it was worth £120 room only.

easy to park and location to the venue we were going to

Location.lot of nearby traffic noise, pollution.

I thought the breakfast should have been included for the £110 per night we paid. The grounds were well kept with some nice well established trees .The birds singing in the morning through lovely old wooden pull up windows was good to hear.

    better evening menu.

Room comforrtable, bed could have been made up tidier, for better presentation. Breakfast was good. Evening meal only can say it was adequate, limited menu, basic food as long as you had chips.

No finishing touches, no flair and seemed very basic - like a Travelodge. Quite impersonal. First impression was the smell of chips frying and the man at the front entrance standing on the step without his shirt on. People were friendly, those we saw. Restaurant staff at breakfast were nice but breakfast was poor. Very basic offerings for 'continental breakfast' . Pool was full of kids jumping in and clearly used by non residents which made the sauna crowded. Sauna looked like an afterthought and the whole place seemed quite dated.

Room was ok, quiet mostly and able to open the window which was great. Comfy bed.

The room was hot. The whole hotel at night was boiling and there wasn't any thermostat control in the room. We tried calling the reception at 1am as it was that bad but no one picked up. We had to open the window and then could hear noise from outside. Also, the parking was an issue. There was plenty of room but no marked bays so we struggled to park upon return to the hotel owing to how the cars had self-spaced.

The pool was useful and it was quiet. Also, the check in process was easy and the staff were friendly.

The constant hum of the ducting outside Room 15 window and the door somewhere that kept banging open and shut last thing and first thing. Not a great sleep.

Television poor signal almost to none.

Staff accommodated our request for a room with a bath rather than shower. Television signal was so poor. TV is essential with kids to keep them occupied even after a being out. Swimming pool was good fun for the kids.

    See above.

Stayed here 8-9 March. Great car parking nice friendly checking in and very nice huge room all though it was very old fashioned looking in decor but thankfully very clean. Bed was massive and extremely comfortable with lovely pillows. Bathroom nice and clean too. Then straight down to the bar for a drink….. well just don’t bother! For me it was a instant about turn and went across the road to the half moon I think it was because the bar in the hotel is appalling looking all so miserably dingy. Not a single comfy chair in sight either. I honestly couldn’t believe what I was seeing! Thought for a moment I’d walked into a 1960’s working mens club. After seeing the bar there was no way I was going to eat supper there so walked into town for food. You never know what your going to get when booking a Best Western I find. The one in Chippenham is outstanding in every respect but this one really is just very nearly okay. I would actually recommend this hotel but only for sleep comfort and nothing else.
