there wasnt anything not to like it was perfect for location and comfort after a long day walking.

a beautiful, comfortable apartment with stunning 360 degree views,. the hosts were very accomodating and gave us some really helpful tips on the local area. there are amazing walks from the doorstep. the bridge inn is a 10 minute walk away and its sister pub Derwnent water arms is a further 10 minutes and worth a trip for the warm welcome and great food. we would not hesitate to return or recommend to friends and family. the property is immaculate and extremely comfortable and the hosts have done an amazing job renovating the old observatory. thank you for a wonderful stay x

Peaceful quiet secure accommodation with quality furnishings, exceptionally clean and well maintained. Comfy bed and pretty much everything has been thought of that you may require, although a full length mirror for getting ready for the wedding I was attending would have been nice. The accommodation is separate to the owners house and they are present if you require but otherwise leave you in peace, there are lovely views all around. Very generous welcome pack. Highly recommend and would use again if in the area.

There was absolutely nothing not to like.

The View certainly lives up to its name! Such a stunning location! The accommodation is of the highest standard; extremely comfortable, tastefully decorated and every possible thing you might need is provided. We received a warm welcome from Pete and found Prosecco, beer and other tempting treats awaiting our arrival. We would love to stay here again. It was no trouble to find with Lisa’s easy directions.

The access road is one lane only and you might need to do some reversing if someone is driving the other way. But if you are driving in the UK, you need to get used to that anyway.

The View was everything we wanted and more. The studio was of good size, was super clean and had everything we needed. In addition, it is tastefully furnished and has a really nice view over the countryside. The local pub is within walking distance and the studio is centrally located for exploring the Peak District.

Because we didn't read the description well enough and didn't pay attention when we checked the pantry, we didn't realise there wasn't a freezer area in the fridge, so we had to finish our ice cream as soon as we got back from the store. And also no oven or stove. Just keep that in mind if you would like to make your own meals. Otherwise very well equipped and very comfy.

We were a little bit cold when we arrived, despite putting the heating on 'boost' (but there was thick snow outside; so with the best will in the world it was always going to be fighting the elements coming in-and-out whilst unpacking).

So much thought has been put into the facilities, the information provided, and quirky decorative items. The view was lovely, despite everything being covered in snow! Would have been fabulous in the better weather when we could have taken advantage of the outside seating area. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom finished to a beautifully high spec. including the toiletries. The 'welcome pack' of goodies was excellent - thank you!

Our stay at The View was superb. On arrival things were made simple with clear and concise directions and instructions. Upon entering the property it had surpassed our expectations and was incredibly well presented, clean, and had all the amenities that were required, along with some very nice personal touches. It was very comfortable and very homely. The only negative was that we had only booked one night and wish we would have stayed longer. Which we no doubt will in the future. We would like to thank the hosts Lisa and Pete for the use of their property.
