Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomIt is a little outdated.
Check in was easy and staff were very polite and friendly . Room was very clean and bed was comfortable. It was very helpful to have a free beverage machine on each floor with several options eg hot chocolate, cappuccino.

AustriaToo small rooms. My room was not cleaned on the second day at all, which I expect in every hotel. The building seems quite old.
It's quite near to Farringdon train station and around 15-30 mins walk from St Paul's cathedral. It's on the straight line to Oxford Street as well. I really liked the coffee machines at every floor. Pretty quite neighbourhood at night.

Lithuania*Doors of the toilet and shower. Were pretty hard/tough opening and also very noisy.
*The hotel was in a perfect location for exloring the city of London. We were able to reach the majority of most famous sightseeing places/locations within 20-30mins of walk. *Bed was comfy. *Liked those "small kitchens" on each floor of the hotel, where customers are able to get free coffee/tea/water.

United Arab EmiratesThe size of the room was a bit small but a decently spacious bathroom. Dint like that I had to close the wooden shutters for privacy in the night specially since I am claustrophobic.
Great location under a 5 minute walk to the main train station that has the Elizabeth line connects to both International airports. The hotel was a lovely hotel well decorated in an eclectic style but a little small. I loved the coffee and tea bar on each level that was very convenient specially since I was down with a cold.

United KingdomThe room was quite warm, even with the heating switched off. We had to have the window open which meant a lot of noise from outside which was quite annoying. The hotel also was covered in scaffolding, which we didn't realise until about one day before hand when they sent an email about it. Fortunately, the scaffolding didn't cross our window but I would have been pretty disappointed if it had. Hopefully the other guests were aware of this before booking.
Cozy room, nicely decorated and well presented. Hotel very conveniently located not far from Farringdon underground station, so very easy to get out and about. Quite a few pubs, bars and restaurants nearby, too. The tea and coffee stations are very handy.

IrelandI could have done with a kettle in my room with some sachets of tea, coffee and biscuits. It was difficult to find the entrance to the hotel. I think it needs an entrance sign on the door. The potted trees outside are dying . They probably need watering/feeding
I liked the room, the decor and the location of the hotel is excellent. I liked the fact there was water provided in the room. The staff were friendly and helpful.

United KingdomThe shower was too hot and couldn't ve adjusted. I didn't discover this until I was about to leave (I was only staying for one night) so I had to leave without a shower. I mentioned this on checking out and was offered a further stay at a reduced rate, an insufficient response to a fundamental problem.
The location was great. Breakfast was average. The room and bed was very comfortable. The room was quiet.

United KingdomThe scaffolding was really unpleasant. The hotel had notified me 2or3 days beforehand but I would have preferred to have known when booking. Like other guests, the entrance was not obvious. The lack of bar and restaurant baffled me. At check in I was shown the QR code which led to the Room service menu and a cocktail lounge was mentioned. It was by luck my son & I came across The Zetter Townhouse where we thoroughly enjoyed the cocktails. Again, I would have preferred to have known when booking that the public areas were not available. After check in, apart from the receptionist, I saw no one in the hotel until day 3! However. the rate I paid was fair for the room only but it wasn’t a hotel experience

United KingdomThe lady at reception recommended their cocktail bar, but when we tried to get a table there we were made to feel most unwelcome.
Great location. The staff at reception were very helpful. The room was large and very clean. There was scaffolding on the whole building, but we had been told beforehand. The coffee and water station for the floor was very well stocked and much appreciated.

United KingdomI booked a twin deluxe room for a friend and I. Booking.com didn’t share this request with the hotel so they didn’t have a room of this type available for us. Not the hotels fault, however, I specifically chose this hotel because it offered twin rooms. That said, I would definitely stay again, but I would contact hotel direct.
