Reception staff are quite abrupt and rude, rooms are very dated, we booked a suite rather than a standard room, peeling wallpaper, cardboard takeaway cups for coffee and only 2 so you had to rinse it out, sign on tv saying broken do not use and generally hotel needs a good clean ..certainly not worth £140 per night.

    Not much

Bathroom was too hot, heating wouldn't turn off. Breakfast was cold, the English breakfast wasn't kept hot. The staff couldn't cope when a coach party arrived. There is a £12 a day fee to park on site. The view from our room was their refuse site, a pile of black bags. When we spoke to them about it, they moved the black bags and replaced them with metal cages.

Convenient for the town and seafront.

No bar licences and both jacuzzi and sauna were shut down for maintenance. The showers were a mess and the changing rooms dirty, broken lockers, hairdryer taped together. Really sad to see a great facility so run down and neglected although I understand time and effort is being made now to get these back up to standard. I had also asked for a lower level room and was on 2nd floor with a broken lift - alternate at other end of hotel was available.

Breakfast was great. Main areas of hotel lovely and staff were super friendly and helpful. Good parking facility but twice the price of nearby car parks.

The spa was not running properly, out of (gym, jacuzzi, swimming pool and sauna) only the swimming pool works, the changing rooms could be significantly improved. Importantly, staff do not look quite motivated and you end up waiting quite a bit to be served while you see them running around ignoring you.

The hotel is ok, just. The rooms are of good size and reasonably clean but the inner doors do not quite work.

Regrettably the hotel is very ran down. The jacuzzi and sauna were closed. The hotel itself hasn’t been renovated in many years. It’s just not worth £180 pounds a night.

The night porter didn't have great English so initial discussions were difficult. But we got over it. Room was run down, but clean. Curtain pole hanging off the wall. Windows single glazed so you could hear the cars in the car park next door. Mattress was well past its date. Bouncy and we both ended up in the middle of the bed. Carpets were old, and floor boards creaked. Bathroom was run down, Black mold spots. Bar had no alcohol as they didn't have a licence.

It's a hotel in an excellent position with a swimming pool.

The hotel is extremely dated, and not the cleanest. The bar was not open for our stay and neither was the sauna. Breakfast was not great.

The breakfast wasn't great. Full English, yoghurt, rice Krispies or croissant. The cappuccino was nice. The sauna and jacuzzi weren't working. The changing room for the leisure bit is very small and communal, the lockers ate my pound coin The draught diet coke in the bar was so bad they bought cans the next day. The page on here doesn't tell you the hotel is halfway up a very steep hill. When I ran a bath the water was slightly brown. The TV aerial was intermittent. Floorboards were creaky. The phone in the room didn't work to even ring reception. They have swimming lessons booked in the evenings so you can't get in the pool when you want. There was no info given to me when checking in about the WiFi password, if there'd be housekeeping, when the pool is open, where the pool is located There is no bit of garden or outdoor area. Parking is £12 per night. I had to be a bit forceful to close the bedroom door. The restaurant is closed apart from a small breakfast.

The room was pleasant and the beds were comfortable. The staff did their best to accommodate guests. I liked having a fan in my room. It was all clean.

Room was tired looking Also the whole hotel looked like it needed some care and attention. Breakfast wasn’t as fresh as I hoped! The food looked and tasted like it had been sat there for hours . Also no labels on the food containers so the lids were taken on & off by guests just to see what was in them!! More fresh fruit would have been nice., Parking - signs in the carpark said £8 for 24 hour (overnight) but charges at reception was £12!

We chose the hotel as it has sauna and jacuzzi advertised, both out of order, very dissatisfied with that. Parking charge was advertised at £8 on the carpark board, was charged at £12. And only paper cups in rooms available to make drinks into - this is expected in a hostel, not a hotel. Not a great value for money :(
