Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IrelandThis isn’t a hotel at all, it’s a converted house. No staff on site at all, had to wait 40 mins for someone to show up and tell me that the room I HAD booked wasn’t available, and that I was in a different room. Shared bathroom is an understatement, only one shower between all six rooms. No hands towels in the bathroom. No hairdryer either. The locks on the doors aren’t secure at all. Will not be returning under any circumstances.
Relatively clean and warm, but that’s about it. A lot more to say about what I didn’t like.

This hotel was absolutely disgusting. I couldn't get to the building first because there was NOBODY THERE, I needed a code to access it and wasn't given one. There was nobody in the hotel for me to enquire or get help on arrival. Worse is that when I tried to call the manager/hotel to explain that I was outside of their hotel, the mobile just rang out, so I started banging on the door to gain access. 3 hours later a person staying in one of the rooms opened the door for me and to my shock from the first step in there I saw dirty laundry and beer cans all over the floor and the smell of weed. PLEASE NOTR BY THIS TIME IT WAS 02:45 IN THE MORNING, and now there were another three people waiting and confused as I was. We decided to check out the rooms available, and if only I could post the videos of what I saw. First, there were beer cans and bottles all over the floor and bed. Second, there was blood on the sheets and pillows from the previous person staying there Third. There was used condom under the bed and under the sheets and onto the table top Fourth. There were ash and small bugs everywhere I only wish I could post the videos for whoever is reading this post to understand the gravity and severity of what I'm I am trying to express to you. PLEASE AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COST EVEN IF IT IS THE LAST ONE EVER ON BOOKING.COM thank you and warm regards Dwaine Cyrus

United KingdomThis is without a doubt the worst room I have ever stayed in in my life. I stayed and in the early hours of the morning, several people arrived at the house, started drinking, many more people than the house could support, they spent the whole night trying to break into my room, when I spoke to the owner of the place he simply told me that it was not a problem. from him, unprofessional treatment, house without any security, extremely uncomfortable place!

United KingdomRoom wasn't clean. Nor the bathroom. Our door didn't lock so we couldn't leave any of our belongings in the room incase someone else went in there. Was only 1 plug socked in the whole room but you could sleep 4 in the room. Even for £95 a night I'd expect more than this. Really disappointing.
Location to tube to get to Wembley was really easy

United KingdomThere was no kitchen so no tap to get water from. There was glasses in the room but they were kinda dirty. But there was a fresh stack of coffee cups in packaging that were clean so no major issue.
Pretty much everything was ideal apart from the lack of a kitchen/tap to get water from, and the cleanliness of the glasses in the room.

United KingdomWe have arrived after 4 hours after our check in time our room was completely mess and dirty. The person we connected on the phone was so rude he had an argument with me and hang up the phone when we tried to explain him that our room is not ready. My charger and one of my shirt was lost when we were out from the room. There was people in the same building using drugs and talking very bad to my friends. Totally disgusting and terrible experience.

United StatesEverything but let's start with the fact that it is not a hotel and I was scammed.
It is not a real hotel. It is someone's house in a very bad neighborhood many Miles away from terminal 3 Heathrow Airport. I specifically requested it to be near terminal 3 and they claimed it was. It cost me $110 one way to get there only to find it was someone's house in a terrible neighborhood. I also requested help with my luggage when I booked it and let them know that I would be traveling alone with luggage and a scooter because I was recovering from an extensive surgery I would not be able to walk or carry any luggage. No one was there to greet me. I had to call a number and someone with a heavy accent answered and said that my room was upstairs. Obviously I could not go up the stairs. Then someone on heavy drugs came by and tried to approach me. No way I could stay there. I had to ask the taxi driver to take me back. We tried to find a room but was after 1 am and everything was booked so I had to stay the night in Heathrow Airport terminal 3 with all my bags and my scooter. They call themselves Twin Towers hotel. This is no hotel!! It is sn absolute deception. I demand my money back!!
