Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomSlightly longer bed, although it did fill the room.
I’m quite tall, and found the bed a little cramped, but that’s only a small thing, the room was fantastic for the price.

United KingdomThe bed was quite hard and due to the location of the bed against the wall it was hard to tuck in the bed sheets and they kept coming untucked throughout the night. When checking if we’d left anything under the bed it was thick with dust but other than that immaculate.
Great location, lovely clean compact room, (it is small but we knew this on booking) with just enough space and everything we needed, great selection of complimentary hot drinks in the room that was topped up every day and even oat milk was provided, so pleased shampoo and body wash was provided as I forgot mine, this was topped up daily too.

United KingdomYou know what you're getting with a Z Hotel, so even though we could say that the room was small and the bathroom only had frosted glass separating it from the room itself, we knew that going in and were completely fine with it, having stayed before. But it is worth others knowing if they haven't and don't like the idea!
Location was ideal for a theatre show in Soho. Staff were very friendly and helpful. There was oat milk in the rooms for coffee and tea which, as a vegan, was a huge bonus and novelty! Bed was comfy. Room was clean. Body/hair wash was included. We got a free room upgrade which was a lovely surprise.

United Kingdomthe rooms were small. The pub across the road were noisy past midnight and the windows were not sound proof so you could hear all the chats and hustle and bustle from the pub way past midnight.

SloveniaThe only fault, but quite a big one was that you couldn't open the window in the room. Not even for a couple of inches to get some fresh air.
The location couldn't be better, hotel was clean, staff friendly.

United KingdomDue to the bathrooms being a wet room, the floor felt lumpy in areas, which was a slight cause for concern incase of a leak.

IrelandIt's not a big minus. However, the room is small. I think the space to move around the furniture was maximum 1sqm. The family next door had a baby, and the buggy was left out on the lobby. If you plan to stay all day out, it's ok. For us, it was not such a big inconvenience, but it was quite uncomfortable
Very clean, great location, friendly staff, and they hold your luggage before/after your stay iif needed

United KingdomOnly thing we weren't a huge fan of was the size of the room. We had been upgraded to the largest room in the hotel (which we're very thankful for) but the room was still tiny so very pleased we weren't in one of the smaller ones as it was very cramped.
Perfect location and very friendly staff. Felt safe the whole time and the staff allowed us to keep our bags in the cafe after we checked out and collected them later which was most appreciated.

IrelandThe bedroom ( Queen) was very compact. Really only ok for a short stay. Both of us couldn’t get ready at the same time. No storage to speak of ( couple of hangers on the wall and a small space under the bed for hand luggage) The bathroom is basically in the bedroom with a glass wall around it. Not really any privacy 😏
The staff were fantastic so good humoured and helpful. The location was excellent and the room and all public areas were spotless. Nice little cafe on 1st floor. Breakfast was basic enough but handy on our last morning

The location is so central in the heart of Soho close to the metro stop. Rooms are cleaned and well-illuminated. Very small tho if you don't mind it's the perfect location to explore London or for a city break.

SloveniaRooms are very small. I booked the queen room which gave just enough space to place the suitcases. From the bed 50 cm to the toilet seat, no privacy in the bathroom area. Windows cannot be opened. Cleaning service always very late. Once we returned to the room for 30 minutes (put do not disturb sign) at 3 pm while the ‘please clean up the room’ sign was left in the morning. When we left again I asked at the reception for the room to be cleaned. They said housekeeping leaves at 15.30 pm. However, when we returned in the evening the room was cleaned. I cannot imagine how the rooms where people spend more than half an hour during the day are cleaned.
Great location. Near to Oxford street, underground, restaurants.. Friendly staff. Clean rooms.

MoroccoThe room was really small, which made it challenging to operate for a couple. There is only one elevator for 7 floors, which makes it slow to operate given the number of rooms in the upper part of the building.
The location was perfect at the heart of Soho. We particularly appreciated how quiet the room was when put in context of how active Soho gets in the evening. I would definitely come back.
